Add a way to make your tank unstuck, and be able to drive over trenches

You would have to be pretty suicidal to try crossing the trenches we have in game going fast (or desperate.) Coming to an abrupt stop in a tank… OUCH! Armor doesn’t give at all…

I can’t imagine purposely trying to cross the ones we have in game and thinking it had a high chance of success. At least from driving a M113… What are they like 6-8ft across?

You mentioned having the engines in the back; however, there still is a ton of weight up front… That’s where all the armor and guns are… Also, often the transmission.

The british lost masses of their Mk I tanks due to them getting stuck in craters and trenches. They were made to withstand machinegun fire

tankers asking for more hand holding. crazy.

Yeah I learned the hard way the most important thing to notice while in a tank is the minimap and where the trenches are - I’m glad the trenches stop tanks cause the engineer tank traps he can’t put down enough of those to matter unless its a city map - non passable areas for tanks adds a lot to this endeavor.

Panzer IV one is stuck on some lumber on the new Moscow Forestry map, the other is a Panther in Berlin stuck on a piece of rubble. I’ve also had my tank get stuck in the hole in the wall on the Monastery map in the Moscow campaign.

Sure I think tanks should be able to cross trenches as well because that is one of the things they were originally designed for in WWI, but in the game maybe its a bug or something so I know to stay away from them. Getting stuck on random carp on the map is really really annoying. Tree stumps, rocks, bricks, lumber, map decorations like AA guns and artillery can all get your 25-50 ton tank stuck with nothing you can do to get it unstuck.

Wow u blockade in a 30 minutes game 10 minutes a tank slot because u stucked?
For that i would report u when u would do that in my match and team.

Obviously it wasn’t 10 minutes. But its a problem, I don’t wanna be wasting a ticket when there is an easy solution to fix the problem. I always hit top 5 every time I play in lone fighters.

I felt that, it just sucks if you are doing really well and your tank gets stuck and you have no way of getting it unstuck.

Tell me about it. The other day I was in a ‘Jumbo’ tank on the Airfield and was mowing down infantry and had also taken out 2 or possibly 3 enemy tanks. I had retreated no less than three times to repair my tank, though one of those times it turned out it wasn’t damaged. I was helping a great deal in mowing down and blasting out the enemy from the point, allowing less difficulty for the infantry to get on point, when I lost my connection. Yeah, I didn’t get stuck, but damn, that was annoying. It was one of my best runs as a tanker. So often when utilizing a tank, the film Fury comes to mind… love that movie. I ain’t even into tanks, but I thought that movie was so well done. Anyhow, I don’t think I ever got a tank stuck at a time when I wasn’t doing something stupid, meaning it wasn’t the game’s fault. I can understand, though, that someone spending LOTS of time in a tank would more frequently experience occasions where they got stuck and there’s no bones about it; something went wrong in the game that needs to be fixed, it wasn’t their fault.

Or, I guess, if your engine/treads get damaged to the point where you just don’t have as much ‘oomph’ to get over obstacles, your tank might just be unable to get over it. If you haven’t any tools left to fix it, well, that’s neither the game’s nor the player’s fault. Just circumstances, and I’m certain in the Military and in war, circumstances can occur where nobody is at fault but something went wrong.

Lol, it do be like that. My tank can be fresh and it would get stuck… And I get 2 shot from an enemy tank. But I don’t think of Fury, I think of Arma 3. I run with a group that does tanks, so I think of the training I got there and try and translate it here. I think I like killed 3 full tank crews, and got stuck… and had my perfect little kill streak going ruined.

That’s awesome, love it when you manage to get a good team, regardless of the game, and you manage to get far. I remember back when I played No More Room in Hell years ago, I had a great system for facing waves of zombies. Collect as much ammo as you can and bring it all to one particular room. Put it into piles. .22lr, .45 ACP, 9mm, etc. Don’t stockpile it because you might die. Keep some firearms and SOME ammo for it, but not as much as you can possibly carry. Use melee weapons always unless you get cornered in a desperate situation or if there are running zombies whom are VERY dangerous to take on in melee. Sometimes a prick would enter the server and take advantage of our organization, grabbing all the ammo, sometimes even just shooting it all out of spite but that was thankfully rare. When everyone cooperated though… it was beautiful.

I have stories about Red Orchestra II and Rising Storm as well when I became commander and got everyone performing their roles admirably, but damn, I can pour the paragraphs out way too fast… I’ll keep it brief. Joined while the Japanese were losing the campaign in Rising Storm, joined them because sometimes I root for the underdog, became commander, lead the troops capably with lots of good verbal communication, and we had the Americans nearly beat. I got bored, joined the losing Americans. Became commander, and we had the Japanese nearly beat in the campaign (in campaign mode you have various matches while you fight for control of locations on a map). This happened again where I switched American, and POSSIBLY another 2 times where I went Jap and then American again, then when we had the Americans almost beat some mouthy pipsqueak commented on how America was beating Japanese because we’re just better. I laughed and said to him in my own voice, “Buddy, I’ve been bouncing around from one side to another as commander. Japanese almost lost, then we almost beat the Americans and I switch to American, then we got the Japanese almost beat so I switched to the Japanese, and so on.” I found it pretty funny. I had gotten several compliments on my leadership ability, not just on that one occasion but others, including that I have a good voice for radio. Bloody good times… squad leaders can put down artillery markers for the commander to use. Of course, some squad leaders consistently had GREAT markers, but I did what I could to make sure that SLs whose markers I never used or rarely use, I would select theirs when it was in a halfway good position. I think they appreciated that. Told the light mortarmen to check their maps when I called recoil, to dial in their mortars accordingly… they performed damn well, and I gave SLs crap if I found that someone spawned as one ONLY to use their SMG and didn’t use smoke grenades or give arty markers. I even managed to get 'em to vote-kick such useless SLs.

Sorry for the ramble, good times… as far as tanks go though, pretty sure I used 'em a bit in Red Orchestra II and I recall I REALLY thought they did a great job with it, but I’m more into it with Enlisted. Occasionally getting stuck sucks, and it’s a shame you can’t get a team working together, but as-is, I think they did a really good job with the tanks. A shame I’m too ignorant to truly understand all the details they put into it. Hopefully it’s far more realistic than I am aware.

here we talk about trench tank stuck, for other small parts of map and objectives is no one fault.

Game is still on beta

Fair point, and kudos to Gaijin for providing updates so frequently. There’s still A LOT to be fixed, and A LOT to be implemented… and it’s STUPID how expensive some things are like the M1941 Johnson at about $37.50 USD, but yeah, it’s in beta and they alter/improve/change things frequently. I have faith that in time the game will get better, and I HOPE that the prices will drop.

It also sucks you can be only doing like 3 battle pass mission, and have to buy the battle pass to do more… And having only 4 squads is not as fun. I would like to have more spots without buying them.

Yeah, I bought the battle pass and the membership or whatever it is that doubles your XP. That helped a lot, and having the extra space for recruits as well as the extra spots for squads is nice, so I DO actually encourage those aspects. Having put that money down, yes I’m benefiting from it, but seeing that another nearly $40 is necessary to access a rifle, and that is the ONLY reason I have for wanting to access another squad… it bites. I don’t care about the Thompson, I finally got the M1D sniper and I had been eagerly awaiting that but now that I see just how much money you have to put down to access parts of the game and there is NO way to access it without putting down the money, it’s outrageous. Anyhow, yeah, if you can afford the basic $10 things, I encourage you to do so, and if the M1941 Johnson thing was only $10 I’d probably stomach putting down $40 Canadian in total or so for this game, but damn it to Hell, almost $40 for that ONE squad and that ONE weapon for ONE side of ONE of FOUR campaigns?! I seriously want to do the math to see how much money it’d cost to access everything, and I’d love to make that public. I’m sure MANY free players would be turned off at learning about it. That’d be some proper videogame journalism. Truth and honesty. TRUE journalism is not biased, it tells the facts. A shame that so many journalists spin things to try and push an agenda.
