Add a further increase to score for using fortifications. +40% of original amount

you have no idea. Just watching my nephew playing it gives me rheumatism.

well the, target age.

Thus I think proper suggestion for these bob the builders would be Rust.

In the case of windows, look for the windows that have an additional sandbag behind them. You can stand and shoot from there. As far as leaving a window open, thats just asking for a grenade or tank shell to come through.

Try flanking it! If the whole enemy team is stopped dead on a wall of fortifications, they will be exposed from the flanks. Take advantage of that!

Did I suggest removing rewards from those that wish to be in the middle of the action? NO! You can still do that if you wish. However, there are those of us that DO enjoy building and playing support for our team. So why should we get so few points when we are the ones keeping rally points up, ammo boxes in key areas, sandbagged areas in otherwise zero cover areas, barbwire to keep enemy slowed and easy to kill, (H)MG nest for teammates to utilize, and field guns and AAs to clean up enemy vehicles?
Support deserves adequate reward for helping their team.

  • Keep in mind, that if an engineer builds badly, in a way that is not useful to the team, they will still score low. Sandbags have to block enemy bullets to gain points. Barbwire has to hit enemies to gain points. etc. People will learn that if the way they are building isn’t generating many points, they are likely doing something wrong and will adapt.

Engineers exist for a reason. Personally, I enjoy playing support more than fighting on the front lines. I enjoy that my teammates are saved pretty often by fortifications, or go to town using a (H)MG nest that I placed. I enjoy when a well set defense keeps enemy tanks at bay with well placed Czech Hedgehogs and mines, enemies have trouble making it through the open field due to hidden wire and mines, and are easy for my teammates to pick off.

I think they game definitely has a place for people like me. However, the current metas have people thinking only about themselves and not about the team. I think those like myself that focus on helping the team as a whole succeed should be rewarded adequately for their efforts.

You don’t get it. I spoke of TEAMATES blocking windows and doors facing FRIENDLY reinforcements. Those guys hamper their whole team more than they help.

Because while the enemy can make short work of fortifications with tnt or tanks or bombs… friendly team must dismantle everything manually to get back in the cap.

Because of that, the enemy will stay in your cap, and even USE friendly fortifications to their advantages.

I still do not think it’s fair and engineers will abuse the extra score reward and not even try going on the offensive in battle.
It will be some 30-50 kills who built sandbags the entire match in his safe area far from the battle who snatches the first place from someone who played the objective and has between 100-200 kills.
Just like grayzone tankers do now, sniping enemy tanks from far away and not doing anything to affect the match outcome whatsoever.

What a lovely statpadding option that would be.

I would seriously suggest you clowns watch my last 2 games, and then tell me i am not in the fucking thick of it.

1st pic pretty even teams, was defence in a hanger, watch, see if i build and sit back, look at kill deaths tanks engie points etc etc weight it up

2nd game way out matched, but i still took out 4 tanks/planes, lowest deaths etc
ffs wake up we don’t all build sit back and do nothing all game.
search these replays, you can access then judge

You had more game time, each match, :P, love the top one 200 engie nice.
my 2x games fit in you first game of 39mins, mine combined 35 lol

Its because I’ve taken time to learn how to properly use engineer fortifications, causing a much greater chance to hold the line IF I get the chance to set up. Usually the teams just get steamrolled on defense, not giving much time for setup. In addition, I have a lot of games where I have to guess where the objective is going.

These were only possible because my buddy was able to buy me time and it went to objectives that were guaranteed and didn’t involve guesswork.

In addition, my buddy Rush was packing a sniper and keeping accurate spotting up for the team.
