I was thinking the M3a1 half-track could be the U.S equivalent to the sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf C.
JUST JERKING YOURE chain Germany already has the best tech tree apc, but yeah half tracks with and mg or not would be good apc only we would need to move apcs to br1 remove the mg slot and put half tracks at br2 then maybe kangaroo at br3 with a reduced crew 4 and
with a crew between a full apc and the kangaroo/uc
I made thia post with the intention that the sd.Kfz.251/1 ausf C would have an MG, as well as all other’s I’m planning on making
I agree with this.
I think thia might work.
bestow this upon russia with the troops on the outside if the hull
i think the troop compartment has less armor than a halftack
"smekalka ‘succeeding’
Then It would be A t-34-57 with extra armor.
As much as I want this as a German staple as it was in real life, Darkflow would have to put usage rules in place. Others like this (armoured half tracks and such that have weapons on the TT) wind up taking a tank slot so a faction could only have 2 in play at once. Armed and armoured APCs would be a nightmre to the opposing team if they didn’t have restrictions. If the Germans could spawn 2 tanks and a handfull of these at the same time it literally becomes Blitzkrieg rolling over objectives in seconds.
with infantry that can be killed by
at rifles and engineer mg nests
BUT acts as extra armor when hit my a tank shell.
an cease to be an apc and become a tank, but maybe br4 sorry got excited been a long time since someone posted it, side gunners also look considerably thinner than normal armor.
The inclusivity is appreciated
Don’t worry, I try to include everyone. Even if I forget them accidentally.
I cant remember where, but I did think I found a list of solid options for everyone to have actual TT APCs.
The Ausf C ofc for germany works well.
The Soviets I think should get the M3A1 Scout Car, which honestly is an iconic “soviet” weapon.
The Japanese have so many options at this point its not even funny.
And the US… Well I mean pick a number and put a M before it, and its probably a half track of some descript.
Which do you think should be add in your opinion?
My question is: Why doesn’t Germany have normal trucks?
Why with just the halftracks?
Cause they’re cooler then trucks Mr. Muppet.
Sure, but they’re slower and more cumbersome. And Germany used way more trucks than they did halftracks.
Exactly. I love halftracks. They’re iconic. They feel so uniquely WW2, and probably the last major war to feature them so extensively, and why see I them as such an inherent part of it. Yet I also would prefer if Germany could have an Opel Blitz truck or something similar, and not just the tech tree Sdkfz 7 we have. Which offers no advantage whatsoever, despite being the slowest troop transport in game already.
For example it’s not like it has better mobility or better traction in off-road terrain, traversing trenches, or climbing steep slopes. It’s not. And it also happens to be quite noisy and squeaky when trying to flank and be discreet. Which is factual, (I can totally imagine halftracks to be very noisy) and I like that detail in game, but without an alternative it’s like giving Germany all the drawbacks without any advantage. Whereas trucks (Japan, USSR, Allies) can be quite ‘silent’ and be very sneaky, and they can also reach some very decent speeds very fast. Meanwhile the Sdkfz. 7 feels so sluggish getting it in motion. If it could tow vehicles as it did in real life I wouldn’t mind all these weaknesses, but in the state it is. The Sdkfz 7 it’s just not that cool.
Please make someone forward adding the iconic Opel Blitz to the tech tree as a alternative to the current halftrack!
Please please please devs add this
During WW2 Gemany needed them to keep up with their tanks as they supported infantry, since they were a mix of a truck and tracks vehicles, they were maneuverable, able to drive well on and off road, and were more protected that the standard Helena truck.
