I’ve been back at it again doing accuracy tests! Today I tested the highly debated semis and select fires to see if there was any real reason to continue using semi autos after you unlock the various select fires. All shots are done at the same distance, prone, braced and at the MINIMUM level possible. I did not do the M2 carbine as it is a different style of weapon all together.
SVT 40:
AVS 36:
AVT 40:
The Russian rifles all held pretty nice groups but the SVT 40 seemed to win.
G43:
FG42:
FG42 II:
So does the better accuracy of the semis make up for the select fires benefits such as larger magazines and unhindered semi auto ROF? let me know!

I will be testing max leveled weapons soon to see how much the accuracy improves for select fires. I’m betting max leveled they will be incredibly accurate making semis 100% obsolete for all but how cheap they are to upgrade
I would say that a test with max upgraded weapons would be more relevant, low lvl semis are slow and inaccurate, while full auto guns not need to be accurate.
Id say most people use lower level guns due to cost of EXP and bronze but yes I agree. I’m just working to unlock the FG42 upgrade path so I can finish my test

From my experience the damn regular FG is rly accurate compared to the FG42-II which makes no sense to me ^^
The Single fire on those type of weapons needs to be toned down since you can basically fire faster with single fire then you can with full auto. Perhaps to the point of being around 5-15% faster then SAs
This exactly my problem with the semi auto nerf. It ONLY effected semi auto only rifles and not select fires put into semi auto making things like the G43, M1 Garand and SVT40 far behind because like you said you can still tap fire FG42s incredibly fast but with more control than if in auto
