Abuse of the Report function

Hi, I saw now multiple reports towards one person because he states Ideas not everyone likes. Keep in mind that his posts are not rule breaking and if the Report abuse do not stop I will sanction some excessive use. You have a like and dislike function for a reason though… This of course also applies to Revenge flagging. Cheers! Its not fun waking up to 15 reports AGAINST one person all in the Suggestion section.

We definitely do not have a dislike function. Would be nice though although could definitely be abused.

My bad then last year I definetly saw one. Im gonna speak to one of the webdevs however im also afraid that people will use for exame discord to make people dislike a post on purpose.

We have no dislike button, nor do we have our polls.

Please keep in mind that this specific user has been making posts in such a manner that they draw out unneeded negativity. We have warned him about this multiple times. In this specific topic, we warned him about a specific part of the thread that would draw out said unneeded negativity, and that the post would be flagged to keep the negativity from spreading if it would not be edited. He did not edit it, so the post was flagged. As such, it was not an abuse of the report function in any way, shape or form. We have discussed this with @TheElite96, talk to him for confirmation

I´m afraid, that all those flags about that person are result of series of horrible ideas that would make the most pressuring issues with the game even worse. As TCat said, the player was warned, but continued doing so anyway.
While it probably cannot be proven if he is trolling or not, there is serious concern that certain player is indeed posting these topics to troll.
Not to mention said player´s history of false “popular topic” advertising that might confuse you guys when forwarding feedback.

He was warned by forum users setting themselves up as a vigilante group to decide what is and is not acceptable to post.

after moderators confirmed they will keep an eye out for posts made with the intent of trolling / baiting out negative reactions. The post was flagged for that exact same reason to notify the moderators.

Again, he could have changed the one line of text, but he preferred to bait out negative reactions instead.

Well if we have politely asked him like 10 times for him to nuance his posts better to not make them appear as obvious P2W suggestions and he doesn’t do so, it raises concerns.

And yes after the polite questions it did turn into a flame war. What do you expect?

He’s making legal posts - read the OP in this thread - he’s allowed to suggest P2W - it’s not illegal.
