100% agree. Their weapons are similar enough that I think it would be fine. There would still be small inaccuracies such as Owens, Charltons, Austens, and Ross rifles in British hands but I can live with it.

Everyone knows this. We will have to sacrifice a bit of realism for a massive increase in play-ability of the game. Its less than ideal, but far better than the alternative of keeping 36 queues and fragmenting the playerbase further with each new update.
Half the campaigns are completely one sided currently, largely due to player imbalance and queue issues. What personally does or does not effect you does not change what is impacting the game as a whole.
Complete agreement! Italy is quite comparable to Japan, in some respects they are even ahead of Japan. It’s strange that Japan will have its own independent tech tree and Italy won’t. And as for Britain, I don’t understand it there at all. Britain, and with it the whole Commonwealth, has absolutely what it takes to represent itself. Being included under the US is a humiliation for her. I really hope that the current solution is only temporary and that we will see Italian and British independence in the future.
I think it’s pretty clear that Italy and the Commonwealth will eventually be their own factions, but they probably want to keep the jump to the new system as simple as possible and hold off on that until later. Plus they get to taut it as a big new content update down the line rather than smashing it in with the merge update.
Yeah that’s right 6 separate armies, that’s their goal by the end of 2023, it will most likely not happen with the merge but with following updates as ongoing progress it’s going to become exactly that.
Lol because Japan is already a independent faction but Italy currently is merged with Germany. You can have Japan independent tech tree right away but you need much time to implement Italian tech tree.
If I won’t be able to give Beretta to Germans, Pz. III to Italians, SMLE to Americans and Thompson to Brits, or if I would need to research these equipment 2 times, your system is complete shit.
