About to choose my primary faction in the Normandy Invasion campaign, whose the most popular?

I ask because I plan to devote most of my time to a single faction (I’ll still dabble) in each campaign. In the Moscow campaign I’m focusing on the Russians, because everyone seems to like the Axis and I like to play the “less popular” choice. However, for the Normandy campaign the choices are the Americans or the Germans. I can see both being very popular, especially since everyone seems to love the M1 Garand on the American side. So, I ask you this - which faction is more popular? Is it the Americans or is it the Germans?

Any help would be appreciated.

I fell in love with german smgs and the gewher 43, and since we probably will se the stg44 i just went with them. But im sure Americans also have great and unique weapons

Try both for a few matches and see how you like them

Infantry wise the SMLE and Ross rifle are really good bolt actions with fast cycling speed for the allies. The German SMG’s however have a faster TTK

If you like tanks the general consensus is that the Puma is better (bigger gun, more spaced out crew), but if your willing to tough it out in the Stuart you can unlock the Sherman late game which is a solid tank, and the Jumbo as your endgame unlock (I have not played it in enlisted but if it is anything like war thunders Jumbo, it would be far more powerful than anything the Germans currently have)

If you like planes the P-38 for the Americans is insanely fast but has less firepower than the 110 for the germans

Well, from an ex soviet, somewhat of a expert of murican, and a veteran for the Germans, ( I’m a triple agent… sorry my comrades/kameradens).

I can say that each faction is interesting and has its own strong point and different gameplay style.

Enlisted that now reached its open beta, it doesnt suffer from bias towards one faction to another like some people want makes others to believe. So I can say that win rates are balanced by the players, and not faction.

So therefore, there aren’t really any unpopular factions.

My best advice for you willing to play any faction, I recommend you to watch levels of campaigns, and decide which things interest you the most.

I personally started to play the Germans again like I did during the alpha because I love their appearances and I’m always have been a huge fan of my (ex) country history. ( despite fighting for a wrong cause of course). Interesting years of engineering, realistic battlefields where brave man fought for the future of the world, its just breath taking, and I’ll never stop saying how much this game it’s really good despite the flaws that it has ( not smaller ones unfortunately ).

So yeah, that’s up to your taste. Theres usually a lot of variety not not get disappointed. Although, you have to pick careful as its gonna get a bit harder to switch if you are in the middle of campaigns level.

Hope this can answer.
Cheers^^

Well, I belive right now it’s solid on gun balance faction VS faction, play some games with every army and take a look at every campaign available right now, if this game lasts most of active players will try to compleate every campaign, and you probably I’ll do too,

On normandy I enjoy defending that beach as German, next week I ill focus on trying to atack it. Just to have more to do on the same game,

As a side note,
I always pick Germans at any ww2 game that give me a chance to do so
Besides the stg and mp40, the US b, a, r was and still is my favorite gun (I must own one irl one day or have the pleasure of shooting one) and enlisted just did deliver a polish made bar as a premium squad on normandy, what do I need more

The best advice I ever saw for picking a side in any wargame was:

Pick whichever side you can enjoy while losing.

that’s from 40 years ago and still looks like good advice to me!

I love the Normandy campaign. Trying to level up there before I move any where else.

I played a match on the D-Day map, we completely destroyed the Americans.

Much have changed since that comment of mine
But yeah. Keep it up!
