Anyone think the devs should replace the Shrapnel shell with APHEBC for the T-28 in Moscow?
Can’t stand a chance against those Pz4E or Pz3J running around these days

Yes especially now that the Shrapnel shell was messed with to the point its got nerfed post-pen and very inconsistent angle pen and what not
It was a very mediocre shell when the T-28 was first added and now its honestly p bad

For a tank sits at campaign level 22, it’s not as competitive as the Pz4E at the same campaign level
The Pz4E can still pen T-50 turret while T-28 has problems going through even the Pz3E, albeit at a distance:/
The T-28 is also missing 2 crew members, it should have 5 people inside. Currently the MG turrets are empty.

About that :)) you can put more crew members into it. The T-28 can hold up to 6 man
The shrapnel round now struggles against the PzII now lmao
Shots I’ve made since the CBT last year now non-pen and when they do go through it will kill one guy when before they’d OHK the tank

I just don’t understand the idea with Shrapnel sells.
Isn’t 76 mm HE and 3 mgs more than enough to deal with infantry

Shrapnel is better vs infantry in the open, since it creates more fragments - but it requires correct fusing to detonate at the right time/place.
HE is simply more versatile since it will always explode wher it hits!
But back in those days they didn’t have computers and digital modelling to figure out the finer points, and it wasn’t as obvious as you might think.
These days many of hte “multipurpose” rounds for tank guns resemble shrapnel more than HE - they can be fused to explode in the air and are pre-fragmented to prodiuce optimum amounts and patterns of fragments.
Oh, I forgot that I have to upgrade the Squad level, oops.
Shoot at the roof of the turret, that little sloped area in front of the cupola. If you score a hit there the shrapnel will penetrate downward killing everyone inside the turret. You can shoot the cupola itself but it is less effective, only killing 1-2 crew.
The real pain for the T-28 is the Pz38t, that thing cannot be penetrated anywhere from the front.
