Well, being completely honest if people already prefer this draft of ehm concept instead of just reworking the campaign levels to make them balanced and playable and just gib us big maps I guess they can do whatever they want.

On that topic of player base, etc, just like WT, they exaggerate the numbers,
like WT has 70 million accounts, rofl BS cough, and yet at 500k on a hour for 24 hours=12million, which will never happen,
max they get on prime time is 170k on for like 16 hours then for rest of day it drops to 70k, for 8 hours, so really wouldn’t put to much into what they say it is.
still same issue there as here one side real players, other side bots.
this number could be severely misleading for number of different reasons. that was event that lasted 10 days and anyone who played 1 battle in that event is counted in that number. also cause it was an event it may have attracted people who usually dont play, or play rarely so number of daily players could easily be half or even quarter of that.
and yeah i dont trust mmo stats numbers also.
yeah your english needs work… i thought you wanted 2 separate ratings so you can match players by equipment and by skill for which you need really high playercount.
but you want 1 rating that is combination of player skill and equipment. and what you propose is terrible. you would have problem on ends of gaussian scale and you would have hodgepodge of equipment like it is nowadays for majority of players.

Sorry but imho this is not doable, so we will have beginners in Tunesia/Moscow andd all the rest will play Normandy and Berlin ONLY.
If this is really how it goes, the one thing, that could make it halfway work, would be “Decks” like in WarThunder. So if you could have 3 or 4 decks, which you could outfit for early, middle and late period, or period 1-4 (depending on what we will get in future, like France 1940 hopefully).
By this you coulg go and say "ok, totday I like to play early war, so I chose “Deck 1” like you do in WT. Of yourse the highest weapon counts, so if you have ONE STG44 squad, you are automatically late war, even if the opther squdas of this deck carry k98s only.
The time period of the different weapons could be shown in the development tree, by colors, or adding small roman numbers (I,II,II,IV) again like in WT with the tank ranks.
By this it might just work, without nobody would want to refit all squads for half an hour before playing, So everybody - or at least the ones with a life and job - would just stick with highest weapons outfit.
But that’s not true csgo and dota 2 have hidden mmr for casual matchmaking it’s not as restrictive as competitive but it’s still there. Hell even tf2 had hidden MMR which you can see Sign In search for “Result Displayed Rating”

More than that, Enlisted is not a mil-sim. I mean, pilots can currently bail out of their plane a few clicks from the battle and moments later spawn right back at it. I don’t see how offering some control over parachutes is unreasonable given the premise of the game.

and why would equipping older weapons be a problem that requires no job and 18 hours of playtime? you can easily equip kar98k, mp 40 and have no problem playing historically in moscow and tunisia and you would be matched with players with similar weapons. and we will probably also get loadouts for fast switching for when you want to play different campaigns (if you actually read this topic).

easily battle for moscow ended in january 1942, battle of normandy august 1944, battle of tunisia my 1943, battle of stalingrad february 1943, battle of berlin may 1945 and pacific is little weird with its end in august 1945 but having shittiest weapons (for balance with japan). overall idk how they will implement pacific.
all bolties are prewar weapons and are available for all campaigns. most rifles/smg have year of design/prototype/service in their name (avs 36, svt-38, gewehr 41, mkb 42, mp 43, springfield m1903 etc.). if you are not sure if some weapon belongs to specific campaign just add +1 year from designated weapon year and it probably was in service since that year.
US had garand and thompsons prewar so safe choice for any US campaign, germans and soviets were rather good with their naming scheme so most of their small arms have included year and you dont need to care about japanese cause they are safe to equip anything.
only problem is AT weapons. AT rifles are more or less prewar weapons or are available from start of the war, piat and m1 bazooka is available in tunisia and up, m9 bazooka in normandy. germans have ofenrohr available in tunisia+, sturmpistole and panzerfaust 60 in normandy+ and panzerfaust 100 in berlin and soviets only have panzerfausts in berlin
lmg are mostly prewar weapons unless their year says otherwise (and dpm is 1943)
only problem becomes vehicles. general rule is that shittier armor and/or gun, it is earlier vehicle. bigger gun and/or armor it is probably late war vehicle.
and then you have planes that you actually need to research cause they dont make sense.

i dont think you understand how little control pulling risers actually gives you, how physically demanding and how dangerous that is. this is not sports chute that can give you high horizontal speed and actual steering control. why do you think many paratroopers ended up stuck in trees during jump in ww2. if they had control over their chutes they would easily land on clearings.

the issue lays on the fact how the game was made to begin with. and with such “fix” i still think its best for people that want trully historical accuracy games, to be played on a custom match. because most players dont care about such details . imo ofc.
I simply do not see why that means that the main matchmaking cannot be historically accurate? If, as you’re saying, the majority people do not care for or against it and will not complain if it’s depicted as such, then why not? Also, if it is true that the people who enjoy historically accurate games are in the minority, wouldn’t that make Custom Games more populated if the more chaotic and fantasy-like games are in Custom Games, which would be good for it.
Binding the matchmaking to gear level doesn’t sound like a really good idea to me.
What if I want to use a PPSh-41 squad in Moscow alongside my other “early war” squads like Mosin, Madsen and BT-7?
Just because I have PPSh-41 (high tier weapon) in my lineup the game will send me to Berlin? With Madsen and BT-7?

The matchmaker should first and foremost prioritize the following (from most important to least):
- The battle is historically accurate with the map and the gear
- Equal number of human players on both sides (ideally - no bot squads at all)
- Equal number of console players on both sides (if any)
- Similar average team gear level (it’s okay to mix some high level gear players with mid/low as long as they are present on both sides)
- Similar average team skill
Community rage. Because a tank will apear on a virtual map inside a game

The horizontal campaign would never work on the long run
The division of queue would never work on the long run
The multiple grind for the same gear would never work on the long run.
It wouldn’t be an issue if they added this nation tech tree, allow for the creation of multiple loadouts, should a certain map or campaign appear (like they’re doing with uniform customization) and allow for a nation queue across all campaigns, letting the player unselect certain campaigns they don’t like.
So people are idiots because they complain about things they don’t like.
I guess all the people who complained about dispersion, the broken bipods, the fact that white phosphorus goes through walls, among all the other issues are also idiots by the reasoning provided.
