⭐ About the new progression and matchmaking

Honestly mixed feelings about this, leaning mostly towards negative how disruptive this will be to the current Enlisted. There are still many things that are uncertain and unanswered.
I have spent alot of Enlisted Gold in total, I have bought maximum squad slots in all campaigns and I own both Stalingrad and Pacific expansions. I have bought premium squads on both sides in all the campaigns to some degree.

I hope it will not have been money down the drain, I would probably still play but I would be disappointed if it was wasted. However for me atleast this game has been the best WW2 experience from a game I ever had because I like the scale and variety of battles and equipment.

I will not miss the squad order system if it is replaced with something less punishing, better to perhaps have one currency to both buy soldiers and equipment and upgrade with, instead of separate orders with different grind, some orders take so long to get, better to have one currency and give alot of it for a completed match (or something similar).

I am very worried about being forced to play certain fronts when i don’t want to, maybe one evening I only want to fight battles in Tunisia, how will this work? I liked the freedom to play only the battles/fronts you wished to play.

How many slots for squads for each side will we get now? Can you still be dynamic and bring many different infantry squads with different purposes, I don’t want to be limited to 3 infantry squads like a new player, again.

Will I still be able to mix weapon types and have a fun game or will I get into matches with people who only use weapons for effectiveness instead of fun? Do I have to downgrade some weapons for my soldiers to have more relaxing matches? Maybe I want to use bolt-actions in one squad and automatics in the next, will this strategy no longer be viable with this new ‘‘weapon type matchmaker’’. Will I have to pick one or the other?

I think now would be a good time to overhaul the customization mechanics to be cheaper or some selection of items that are free to use on soldiers, if we have soldier customization unique to different years/fronts this could be reasonable instead of keeping the expensive way it is now and that customization orders still are scarce.

So many questions so little answers, I won’t write all questions I have here.

If it’s like War thunder then you will be fighting against people of your equipment level and 1 star under your level so it will still should have enough variation to be playable

I dont mind the changes just please be fair on the compensation for those that already grind so hard for similar items. Including the Stalingrad campaign. Yes i know, we get unique unlock items from the campaign purchase but the only reason I purchase it was the x4 XP boast. Now it seem like that no longer going to be available if this new system goes live. Guess im going to need to force myself to play Stalingrad campaign now to fully utilize the boast while it last. :frowning:

Playable sure.

But less fun.

No more magic (or dread) as a new player, like when I was lvl1, years ago and came face to face to the t28 for the first time. Was exciting. No more fun or feeling of accomplishment having unlocked last tier stuff.

When you use last tier stuff, it’s all youll see. And at that lvl, everyone will only use the very best meta equipment to compete: in short, that sucks.

Combined campaigns = less slots too. Makes all premium squads worthless, as using meta will be even more prevalent.

My only hope is they boost allowed slot amount. At least fun, but weak premium could still be in lineup for fun then. Forget it with only 10 slots… for 5 Combined campaigns (germans)…

I hope they keep this experience.

At least in a decent new mode

I also want to find a reason to use my T-26 and T-60 and Ba-11

then mix and match… this is equipment based MM, not level/skill based MM. i personally hated matches where you just had one sided stomps cause your equipment just outclassed enemy… or vice versa. you can now actually play different loadouts without worrying about being matched with sweatlords. i mean how many people actually played with old equipment besides RP? most people just stuck with best they got cause they didnt want to be in disadvantage cause of meta.

DARKFLOW you should add a tech tree for each campaign or the game will die for sure noone wantto play STg44 in Moscow … your choice avoid this mistake

DO
NOT
MIX
THE
CAMPAIGNS !

Faster than a Tokarev bullet to the head there. At best I may have to retire on some campaigns if they didn’t properly implement the changes but the worst case scenario is to find another game that would scratch my itch on the shooter genre.

Its not the equipment, that kind of hard stomps happen if one side has more or just better players. Its not the weapons that build spawns or flank the enemy. Its the players.

I do not think mix campaign research tree is a problem. Just they need to consider restricting each map with certain weapons, either by year of battle and year of weapon production, or by current campaign content.

yes, but there is also weapon component. do you know how many times i roflstomped allies normandy with my tiger cause enemy couldnt field any tank cause i would destroy them instantly without them being able to do anything to me? or how i got roflstomped when i was grinding allies normandy cause i couldnt do shit against gray zone panther or tiger cause allies 75mm doesnt penetrate them frontally? yes player skills make huge impact, but so does uneven playing field. at least now all players have more or less same equipment.

I know we all have different feelings about this update, but let’s all remember that if they can drastically change the entire core of the game, then that doesn’t mean they certainly can’t change it again. Let’s see how this new system turns out, and I’m sure they will tweak, update, and work on it over time

What will happen to the 4X XP multiplier on stalingrad campaign?

it is not a problem to restrict them, problem is that you will then have couple of separate queues for MM. DF wanted to unite playerbase with this and not keep it fragmented like it was before.

they had choice between:

  1. fragmented playerbase with every campaign if you keep historical accuracy (more or less current campaign) and no MM (you cant have MM with low player count)
  2. united playerbase with mixed campaign, but removing historical accuracy and getting equipment based MM

and more problems are simply solved with second solution.

Everyone complaining about historical accuracy is a hypocrite.
This game NEVER had historical accuracy but historical BIAS.
All the stats are “modified” politically as the devs are mostly RUSSIANS.
( -10% DPS on Axis and +10% on Russian side)
This is done with every aspect of guns:

  • Reload time
  • recoil
  • clear or obstructed sight
  • muzzle flash that inhibits clear view

Don’t believe me? Check the FACTS. “modified enlisted reality” vs “historical accuracy”:

*leveling up the gun will not change the ~-10 %/ ~+10% difference → ~20% bias in total.

Enjoy your “historical accuracy made in Russia”

Exactly. The only thing I’m afraid of is losing my invested money. But I’m sure this update will be welcome and enlisted will be very popular :grinning:

Now your Tiger will become useless vs op HVARs every match honestly i would quit the axis forever if i’m forced to play against them every single match.

We can wait and see, but these discussions today clearly shows there is conflict between group of players. One good way of solve this conflict is give different mode like Realistic battle and arcade, in the way War Thunder did.

in Normandy and Berlin fully upgraded mp40 shoots a bit faster than irl counterpart. So idk from where you are taking those screenshots but it’s outdated. PPSH-41 shoots much faster than it should be 1150shots at max upgrade.
