Highly appreciate the fact that we will soon be able to purchase British and Italian soldiers by using customization tickets in-game. While it solves one part of the problem others still remain.
Namely: 1. We don’t have corresponding squads for different British and Italian soldiers classes in-game. Like we have MG, Assaulter and AT squads for the British soldiers in the tech tree but no Rifleman squad. In this instance we will be forced to use British riflemen in an American squad which is immersion breaking to say the least.
Solution: Add atleast one unique British and Italian squad for all the soldier classes in-game. This will help those new players who wish to play as the British and the Italians but do not have the legacy squads from the Battle of Tunisia pre-merge. This would also solve the inability of the developers to add the British and the Italians as sub-factions in the near future.
2. It is about the utter lack of customization options for the Italians outside the Battle of Tunisia. They absolutely lack in comparison to the British in this regard. It is quite immersion breaking to see an Italian running around with a German uniform in the Invasion of Normandy.
I understand that the developers want to maintain historical authenticity when it comes to the soldier uniforms in-game. But we don’t even have proper winter uniform for the Italians in the Battle of Stalingrad where they were historically present.
Solution: For the time being some of the summer uniforms for the Italians can easily be ported over to other theatres of war. New uniforms (especially winter ones) must be created for the Italians as soon as possible.
Afraid any chance of this died when Rzhev was united with Stalingrad in customization.

I truly believe that an Independant British faction and Italian faction could stand on their own. However if the developers dont believe the same then I guess the subfaction idea is Ok.

Why not? Is it literally impossible or something? I doubt it it just takes will power from the devs to chage it.
That’s the problem - they’ll just use their convenient claim to selective “historical accuracy” and say there weren’t any italians in Rzhev as to not make any winter italian gear.

Youre right. Selective Historical accuracy is such a cheap excuse but its probably the likely cpurse of action.
