Semi-automatic rifle, a type of firearm which fires a single shot with the pull of a trigger, and uses the energy of that shot to chamber the next round.[4] Examples:
Selective-fire rifle, e.g. assault rifle, that is capable of switching between semi-automatic, fully automatic and/or burst fire mode of operation. Examples:
t20 can comfortably go against hei AR and t20 is similar to avt40 20. hei AR has its downsides and soviets will not only face japan, but also germany. what are your suggestions for germany buffs then?
there was no FG with belt. the one you put in the link had magazine that was missing in FW video.
self loading rifle ≠ semi automatic rifle
A self-loading rifle or auto-loading rifle is a rifle with an action using a portion of the energy of each cartridge fired to load another cartridge.
anyways not only you need valid german alternative for 25 round SF rifle, you would also need valid US alternative for 25 round SF rifle.
SF rifles are already too powerful in the game, not to mention boosted 25 round versions of them. SF should be nerfed with higher recoil, so that AR actually have place in the game on BR5.
I mean no one calls it autorifle - just semi automatic like:
If a soldier gets tired, you take a machine gun or a Simonov self-loading rifle (with a bayonet) and help. Our direction seemed to be going west. Then to Mukden, and from there to Port Arthur.
idk if this is language barrier, but self loading rifle includes semi automatic, automatic and select fire rifles. so while all semi automatic rifles are self loading rifles, not all self loading rifles are semi automatic rifles.
like i said before, even if it was historically used i dont really care. SF rifles are currently making all other rifles obsolete and getting buffed version of current SF rifles is bad for balance. currently there is absolutely no justification for buffing any SF rifle.
5 or 20 round magazine
that is t20. afaik there is only 20 round magazine for it.
not same class of rifles(at least in game). BAR has vastly different performance from other SF rifles.
You are open to suggest anything you want for US. I even get an axis variant. So surely after a Hyde for 5 br something have to be found like this. I`m not US guns superior and cant say directly. But for axis\soviets - there is two good guys for sure.
I can repeat: new content making a game better. Especially good weapons. So avs early for 25 rounds would be a thing people want to take and they would play an event or something
i heavily disagree with this. OP weapons just make every other weapon obsolete. tell me what is current role of assaulters in BR5? they are clearly outclassed by every other soldier class even though they should have been the best class for clearing caps. ffs vanilla rifle squad is better than assaulter squad cause they can have 9 soldiers vs 7 and they have more versatile weapons. buffing SF rifles to be even more OP is just stupid for game balance reasons.
no it is not. while assaulters are powerful on other BR, they are ultimately limited by range and by quantity. on BR5 they are obsolete, even though assault rifles should be peak technology of that time(even with their problems).
ww2 SF rifles while powerful on paper, were mostly unusable in full auto mode due to various problems. there is reason why intermediate cartridge became standard for assault rifles and why all armies used them post ww2. SF rifles being OP is neither realistic nor historical(whatever this is worth in current game) nor it is good for balance/gameplay.
not fg42 t44 is abomination made by americans post war
it was mentioned above, but there is need for US alternative and it brings soviet vs japan balance into question if manchuria ever comes in enlisted. type hei AR has 30 round magazine, but it also has much lower damage, so it is better on close range, while it is worse past 20m over t20/avt40 20.
Yeah like I said I think thing are currently balanced as for US alternative I can’t think of one right now but if I search enough I’m sure I would come to an answer though it is not needed.
