So i was chatting with some friends that play enlisted in a group of 4 with me and an ideea popped up… Why not allow players to choose to join the squad of another player in the group or spawn a new squad?
If you have 2-3 players that want to play as a squad and provide cover for eachother in close proximity you end up with 2-3 squads bunched up making things worse.
Multiple players in a squad would allow you to use that squad in a more effective way while not taxing the team with loosing spawn tickets for getting multiple squads killed. Also it would allow for more dinamic and efficient gameplay like covering the advance of your assault team with a DMR or covering the changing of sniping positions with the smg from the sniper team. Also it would allow low level players to use some better weapons for a limited time if that squad is at a higher level.
Also joining another team could be limited to a certain number of times in order not to abuse the system.
i like it, that would make some things much easier and facilitate cooperation between players, though some may abuse it and suicide their own squads to go into the squad of someone with better equipment
I see you joined quite recently, so you probably don’t know this, but there is a game mode called Lone Fighters in the custom games section. It’s basically what you are asking for, a PvP mode without AI squad members.
Almost nobody plays it however, because Enlisted’s stand-out feature are the AI squads, and people play it for that reason
True, but as i said, it could be limited to a certain number of times per battle…3 or 5 or some other number. Also my point was to do that in a group/team of 4, not any random squad. So if you could do it only 3 times in a batlle it wouldn’t make sense to suicide you squads over and over again
I joined half an year ago, and i’ve tried lone fighters, but there are times when me and my team find ourselves with weapons that don’t help us work as a squad. Joining a squad allows you to fill a spot in that squad that has a role that helps.
Let’s take, for the sake of the argument, an assault squad and a team of 4 players. You could have a player take the role of the designated marksman covering the team, 2 players with smgs storming the checkpoint and one player taking the role of the engineer. That squad would be far more effective on it’s own than 4 separate squads, where players use one team member at a time and the rest of the squad is useless.
