Seeing as we can repair the turrets on the armored trains, and restock AA and AT guns, I think it would be great if engineers could use their hammers to repair allied tanks. I think a good cost would be around 10 resources or more. This could possibly be limited to engineer squads as an unlock if it is considered too powerful. I am aware of toolkits, but no one uses those on anything but tankers, this would be a nice feature that allows you to fix up a friendly tank once per engineer. I’ve noticed similar forum posts, but now that we can repair armaments on the armored trains, I think it would be reasonable to expand it to allied tanks.
you mean they able to carry tools in the backpack? it will do it just fine.
still, spead resourcers will be interesting has well.
You can already do it, but not in they way you are suggesting. Just give your engies big backpacks and fill them with tool sets.
Fixing turrets in armored train with hammer is create that way to not force players to drastically change their loadouts just to play this map. Turrets are essential for the attackers to push the train through the defences. It would be awful if it would require carrying tools to fix them (since you don’t know what map you will get, you would carry them everytime, even when not needed).
Meanwhile fixing friendly tanks is not directly required to win on any map. It’s just side activity, that doesn’t happen often. So giving your engineers tool set, just like tankers need to have them, works much better for that purpose.
