From BR1 to BR5, there’s always a swarm of players spamming AA guns, AT guns, and HMG nests. Why? Because even a monkey can rack up lots of scores using them. This is supposed to be an FPS, not a tower defense game.
These fortifications are the real reason behind the explosive spam problem. They seriously ruin the experience for FPS players. Nobody wants their whole squad to get instantly wiped by a grey zone AT gun right after spawning.
And image you are a player who spent months mastering aircraft controls, and just to be deleted in a split second by a noob sitting in a AA gun with a insane lead indicator circle.
How do he master it in the first place then?
Simple he spends every day getting his cheeks clapped for flying in predictable paths by revenge AAA.
I’m all for removing the lead indicator from AA and making it so emplacements can’t be built in the grey zone though.
There are plenty of counters to engineer buildables. Like snipers, mortars, AT rifles, tanks and your own AT guns. I don’t have any problems taking them out, I just need to spot them.
Also, this is a combined arms game not a strictly FPS game if you want strictly FPS go play CoD WW2.
Or make a custom and kick anyone who uses the vehicles and emplacements in their decks see how fast you kill your custom.
But in summery if you want STRICTLY FPS GAMEPLAY Enlisted is not the game for you.
Unfortunately, many AA guns are built behind cover in the grey zone, where they can only be destroyed by mortars or artillery strikes. But those require precise coordinates, and you can’t mark them through buildings or over hills. And even if you do manage to take one out, the engineer apes will just build another one right away.
Then don’t fly. He will get bored sooner or later and if not, he is basically afk so one less enemy to deal with.
if he camps that gun long enough without kills, he’ll also get booted.
There’s also another tactic to kill a AAA it’s a wild weasel tactic hang back wait till he fires at the Attacker or Fighter which ever slot you’re not filling then strafe or bomb him.
Or come from his plane spawn they never expect that.
P.S don’t do this one unless you are an actually good pilot
The counter to AA guns is flying super low - which in return will still make it much harder for you to hit your targets, but thats the point of AA - protecting your team from reckless pilots.
Only noob there are plane spammers. They are so overpowered as they only get rewarded with another plane after getting killed while they will wipe your entire squad, sometimes rally and other squad + AA gun = more points than you. Buildable AA are laughably weak and need to get buffed hard.

You can still spam the HVARS / M8 outside of the AA range.
Then arises the new problem, If I shoot down this plane spamming clown hes free to spawn next plane.
If he suicides he cant spawn plane for 1 rotation ?
Also the AA is the only buildable that doesnt become better, its same regardless of BR.
They are not actually powerful, the main problem we need to solve is the gray area problem.
I propose dividing the gray area into two parts. The gray area behind the spawn will not allow players to stay for long periods of time, while the other part will be used as a buffer zone to prevent enemies from reaching the spawn, just like now.
At the same time, the filter for gray areas should be removed.

Imagine mastering your FPS skills only to get wiped out by a rocket spamming cas plane flown by someone with the mental capacity of a two year old, it works both ways.
Not to mention you can beat AA guns, the only time AA guns catch me out is when they hold fire till after Ive dropped my bombs and Im flying away.
