I’ve been playing Axis Normandy recently and really think the German equipment is great in that campaign. The problem? Most of the players are god awful and yes I mean players because they all have console symbols. Getting really tiring

Allies seem to have deserted it and Axis players are now many. I always win with Italians now, it’s a complete situation reversal compared to campaign release time.
Or there’s still allies, but they leave as soon as they notice Axis team is putting up a fight… 
Ive been playing Axis there as well after I grabbed my No 4 sniper for the allies. I find Tunisia really odd and EXACTLY as you describe…when the allies find any sort of stiff resistance alot of them simply quit the match. This has happened many times to me now leading to an easy win

It made me confirm a theory of mine. In Tunisia, the best weapon class is bolt action, hands down. Brits have LOTS of GREAT smgs, and even BAR at the end. They also have amazing rifles, but the average allied player will be more prone to use tommies.
On the other side, what does the Italians have? Carcanos and… well they have caracanos. M1 beretta is an absolute laser and real cheap to max star, but most Axis players will use bolties as default weapons, and because of that will have the advantage. Just like Moscow used to be!

I find using engineer squads to be the best. Most have bolt actions and I use one assaulter as my squad leader to storm the point. This allows me to build rallies and attack at range until we get close with SMGs. I enjoy the Carcanos, the M1 Beretta and I’m even really weird because I like the Breada mod 30 too but use it as a semi auto rifle

Its true! Most people carry bolt actions so even a fairly bad LMG feels very powerful in Tunisia (atleast up close and on the point)

A semi auto rifle with 20 ammo, no stupid unrealistic rof nerf and since there’s hardly any grass in Tunisia, plenty of places to use bipod.

Breda is a crap LMG but a good semi auto rifle 
I cant say the same for the Vickers Berthier or the Madsen. They both just suck

I can’t forget him, it’s terrible.
Although it was my first machine gun, so I don’t hate it much.(even Madsen seemed like a monster)

I actually hated the madsen and the vickers so much I swapped them out with normal riflemen until I got the DP27 and the Bren
