For other game modes I really would want to be introduced. This comes to mind. And there have been some examples for instance H&G and Gates of Hell. I saw War Thunder has something similar, though looking rudimentary.
And this is from heroes and generals. Of course in the later years, flooded with whales; Ironic. Much more depth than gates of hells campaign from a glance.
Those are my examples of how such a thing can come to fruition.
H&G is a goldmine of mechanics and lessons to take from, and frankly its why I play enlisted, to curb my H&G itch now its gone.
I remember even when I couldnt afford to play the strategic map level of H&G, I loved to watch the war progress, and just watch all the ongoing battles, especially if you found a tank battle or aircraft.
Aye, theres good reason I said mechanics and lessons, Im more than aware of the issues with the game, and deeply depressed that it was rotted out from the inside by other issues, its gameplay wasnt among those issues imo. Genuinely some of best times Ive had in a shooter game came from it.
Lessons not learned that I look at some aspects of this product. Heroes and Generals 2 didn’t need to be released; this game fuctions just as well. Well… It certainly will be more familiar once this suggestion sees light.
One of the best ‘hybrid’ games I touched. Even if it didn’t get an aspect right. I must respect what it attempted to do.
Only other game I can think of, to come close in an aspect is gates of hell.
I once suggested an RTS mode. Its essence was that one player takes control of unoccupied bot squads, provided that there are not enough players in this team. This would diversify the game and help alleviate the problem of online disproportion between factions.
