I play BR4 japan and do pretty well but maybe my teams have just been pretty decent. Definitely have to take my best anti tank stuff though

yep lucky i have launcher 5 to kill calliope and other stuff and good or decent team are essential
Anyone that plays Japan seems to be in the higher BR bracket, it’s low tier Japan that seems pretty mediocre. Right now it’s my most played campaign post-merge with 42 games and a 95.24% winrate.
really? maybe some good player recently start playing jap i guess but like i mention this was only 3 match so i couldnt say for sure
hmm, only lost one game so far with JPN. Doing both tier II and IV.
And the Shermans (including Jumbos) have been a non-problem so far.
There’s nothing wrong with the equipment balance in my opinion. But I guess I would’ve lost a lot of those games if I played them solo, however.
It’s still early days. Let’s wait and see in about one or two weeks.

Yeah, it seems you didn’t spawn in plane at start of the game, starting to land off… And… Surprise! Meanwhile you are like 20 metres away from carrier, P38 already shooting at you and you are burning your ass off.
Magically, AA defense of carrier just do not work at all during all of that.
That was my fastest desertion of the match ever. Definitely well balanced stuff. And that’s only BR2 experience
True, I didn’t even bother to play BR4. But obv, everyone can see at first glance facing jumbos, calliopes and so isn’t fair.
Compensating it with skill is just poor excuse. The only reason why Japanese do have BR4 is literally like 2 planes and second flamer. Everything else could be easily BR3.
Type 5 is a beast and are equally strong as the M9 Bazooka.
SiG, Type2a and Type 100(late) are so good and match many tier IV smgs.
I would pick any of them over tier III Thompsons.
Type 4 matches the Johnson with out a shadow of a doubt.
Type 96 is one of the best LMG:s in the game.
I lost count of how many times I’ve killed P38 with my Zero.
Ki-61-II Otsu Kai (tier IV) is one of the best fighter bombers in game.
Ho-Ni I (BR II) with the 75mm Type 90 cannon vaporizes Shermans.
The difference between tier III and IV is marginal anyway.
Japenese rocket launchers are already BR2
Tech tree BR4 smgs are overall extremely mediocre, majority of them should be move to BR3. Things like zk maybe even to BR2.
Btw the only BR4 Japanese smg is type 2. Which was added with merge and it was completely unnecessary.
Yeah, Johnson, ZH and other better semis are BR4. But this shouldn’t be a case either.
Majority of semis should be lowered by one BR1 level. Currently the BR4 is so meaningless nobody bothers to play pure BR4, unless his intention is to bully Japanese as US.
In all other cases, everything that’s BR4 is basically BR5. There’s no difference between those those tiers. Immediately making all these semis extremely pointless and not worth using it, since you’ll be facing m2c, fgs, avts with them.
The only reason they are on BR4 is to prevent them to seal club BR1 BAs because lack of queues. Not because they’re so powerful.
You’re joking, lol. Sights itself are making this weapon obsolete.
Shermans are not problem, especially the BR3 ones. Still it’s not balanced since no turret, no mg, no hatch/leaning option, open tank so you can get easily ambushed if you’re not camper.
Japanese do not have any tank which deserves to be BR4, chi nu is paper, it has penetration similar to crusader/ pz III J1 and so, and it is definitely not significantly faster.
You literally can’t compare it to jumbos.
The BR4 of Japanese and US is not definitely well balanced. I did overexaggerated it’s not playable. That is obviously not the case.
But you are constantly in disadvantage. Just because like 1/15 of Japanese equipment has potential to be at BR4, at least according to current standards.

Sry if my answer was a mess, mixing a lot of different BR stuff.
My point was to prove that JPN tier II and III equipment holds up great against US tier IV stuff.
I don’t think JPN suffer against US in tier IV battles.
Sure Jumbo have no counterpart. But it’s not game breaking imo. And no way P38 should be tier II.
But it’s still early days. We need more time to evaluate equipment balance.

yea anyway type 4 is obviously the best semi auto gun in jap arsenal (for obvious reason) too bad i cant unlock it since i need more tier 3 stuff but im definitely buying a lot of those when i can
