I saw that we have already flamethrowers in the game would be cool if we would also have flametrowers in tanks, like the special variant of the M4 Sherman that had a flamethrower , or a special variant of Panzer IV that had flamethrower!
What!
Are you a sadist or something , what a horrible suggestion. I already get killed enough without adding more to the menu Welcome to hundred ways of being killed called Enlisted
it’s a complicated topic if i have to be honest.
first of all, it would bring hell for infantry.
i’m not sure how they would work, but i guess it would take away the mg firepower. if not, even worse, it would make tanks stronger.
second point, i’m not sure how many people would like the idea of adding another weak point/spot inside your tank. because we are talking about a fuel/gasoline tank/trunk that is going to be added inside the tank, meaning that you are limiting you chances of survivability considering that tnt goes through armor. or one well placed shell, is gonna blow up your whole tank.
third point, considering that tanks are gonna take damage from fire, i can already think many people complaining about burning themselves for it.
and last point, only allies would benefict from those tanks. as the germans only had 1 flametank ( which was without cannons ). so, unlike the ally tanks ( such as churchill flame tanks, or shermans with functional anti tank gun + flametroopers ).
germany never had tanks with working cannon AND flamethrower at the same time. only flamethrowers without cannons.
not ideal either considering normandy terrain, and many other enivorements issues.
Germans had multiple Flame tanks, but i think none were used in Normandy, soo there would be none. In Moscow they could get Pzkpfw B2 with flamethower, or Flammpanzer II. One comes with cannon, another only with flame and MG, not like it would be bad against inf, but against tanks it would be easy target.
But to the point, i dont think Flame tanks are really something this game need.
B2 woudn’t be that bad, as it would have that French 47mm and good armor. But woudn’t be much balanced against Russian armor tbh, but cake for flanking infantry.
