If I invite a friend to play in a team, they’re new so BR I and I have mine set out in BR II gear how does that affect matchmaking? Does it force us to stick to BR I-II games? or could I accidentally drag them into BR II-III matches?
I wanna make sure they have a good experience.

the highest battle rating gear would be the main factor so yes both of y’all will see br3 matches

I would switch to br1 squads or if you stay with the same squads try staying near him so y’all can cover each other

I had the exact same dilema when I first started playing, had invited some friends to play with me, though I learned in time before that happened that being a BR higher than everyone else does force all of them up to your level. So yes, @Toilet_Paper1 is entierly correct here.
Thankfully, since I had gotten rid of all my BR I gear to move into BR II, they were fine with being uptiered. Now this was back when BR I was still facing BR III so I guess they didn’t care for the minor difference. Today, those friends have progressed to BR III so now we play that, even though they don’t have premium and only play when we play together.
