Most, if not all vets use exceptionally well armed smg squads to plow through enemies and cap zones. They also build rallies near the front to boot…
Now if FUN is the only variable, then:
bolties and mixed arms > only smgs.

We need higher recoil and weight pattern for all smgs and lmgs to decrease speed while moving. They feel like toys not weapons.
Heaven forbid we play for fun; this is a serious competitive game and there’s no room for that

When a well marked arty is much more influential than any rifle or SMG that would turn the tide on the cap points in RO2 because of how powerful arty is but with the catch of only commander can call it, long cooldowns depending on the map and either commander or squad leader having good marks. Artillery is the god of war there.
It seems not all SMG players know how to build good rally points or actually flanking instead of mindlessly rushing all the time.
Ah… in truth, in RO1 the one true mvps were the only 2 smoke grenades brought by the officer of the team…
