A.i. And Human differentiation
Highly doubt it will ever happen, because it’s all about illusion that there are more players, they try to “hide” AI presence by any means. AI players have fake ranks, lately they learned to build and even use rally points, can call artillery fire, I wouldn’t be surprised as one day they would drive tanks and fly airplanes.
Taking off their ranks would be enough indicator to show this player is an AI.
Funny thing is that for PC players they can only see icons for console players and don’t see other PC players icons, so there is only a guess if rest of the team is AI or human. On the other hand I’ve seen some screenshots from consoles that they can see both PC and other console players icons, so the rest should be AI if it has no icon of either.
Name decorators are also a way to tell if someone is a bot or not.
i think (so not sure) they only see icons if it is not same platform/console. so ps5 player will see console icon for xbox player and pc icon for pc player, but will not see any icon for ps5 players.
I actually agree with this a lot. I don’t think OP is referring to the scoreboard for this, but rather the actual ingame representations. How friendly players have a blue indicator above their heads. This would actually be quite useful for a variety of reasons.
- All too often I’ll be trying to operate an MG nest or shoot from a window and friendly soldiers will come up and block my shot. I would really like to know if its AI, or if its a teammate intentionally trolling.
- Similar situations to #1, I seem to have my fortifications broken down a lot by teammates. MG nests, ammo boxes, etc. I would like to know if its AI that (perhaps mistakenly) were ordered to break it down, or if its an actual player going up and doing it to troll.
- I’ve noticed in a lot of games frequently that groups of soldiers appear to just stop in the spawns and not push at all. I never seem to see a player near them that might be the commander of the group, so I believe it to be a bug. With the suggestion he proposes, we would actually be able to see if they were just AI, or if there was a player among them.
I only see positives with this post. I’m 100% behind it.
I think these aspects are good and should be implemented. But I don’t think there should be tags for the enemy team.
While putting the name tag over their heads would help you target the player better rather than fire at their AI first, remember that’s a two edged sword. I tend to order my AI forward ahead of me a lot so I can sort of blend in with my squad when the need arises, the last thing I want is some Vasily Zaitsev or Konig LARPer to single me out, kill me, then just wait until I Y key to another soldier to just do it again.
If you have played this game more than twice you can easily spot the difference between a player and a bot!
Lets face it, theres only one reason anyone would want this introduced, and thats so you could squad wipe easier by picking off the bots and saving the player for last!
If i am wrong, please explain why this is a good idea…
Dude your way off lol. Wow
