A high capacity SMG for the European Axis TT, the Suomi KP/31 SJR

Currently in the Axis TT, there isn’t a high capacity SMG available, which all the other nations in game have at least one ( Thompson 50 for the US, Tokyo Arsenal for the Japanese, PPD 34/38, PPD 40, and PPSH 41 for the USSR). Having one of these introduced into the TT would provide variety in play for higher BR, and using this gun for it would be a good way to address that.

Suomi KP/31 JSR

The Suomi KP/31 SJR was a modification of the standard Suomi KP/31 we have in game as a premium gun. On examples from 1942 on, a muzzle brake was included on new examples, which helped control the recoil when firing. This is probably the best choice for a new SMG being added to the axis TT, since it was a standard issue weapon that had fairly high numbers and is very similar to the existing Suomi, sharing the same 900 RPM fire rate, 71 round drum, all that, just with less recoil.

This may not float. Perhaps a better solution is to give the premium gun to us, as it’s objectively worse, and give the JSR to the premum squad instead, as it has better stats. Either way, I’m all for a Suomi, being a F2P player and struggling with German TT SMGs.

That is true and I agree, but I doubt DF would go through the effort of changing the old squad. I have the squad, and I would love having them get the SJR and the normal version going to the TT, but I doubt they’d just put a premium gun straight into the TT and change the gun of a premium squad unfortunately.

Maybe they could just do it so that the tech tree version has worser stats anyway, even though it wouldn’t be that historically accurate.

It’s been sitting in game files for ages it’s just devs that refuse to make Germany more viable at high BR.

The trouble is the us has one, one high capacity tt smg over 32 rounds Germany has three or four smg of 40 rounds yeah my heart bleeds for germany

Lets not forget that US SMGs (aside from the Owen, which no one uses, and the Lanchester, which is only used by a select few) deal 8.2 damage and fire faster (690 rpm). Take for example, the M1A1 Thompson in BR II. I use this as an example because not many use the M3A1 grease gun (which should ideally be foldered with the M3 Grease Gun in BR I).

The Germans on the other hand, their best BR II SMG is the Beretta M38/42. It has 630 rpm, has 40 rounds, but deal significantly less damage at less than 6.8. Same story for BR III, where the German SMGs are behind in terms of fire rate and power.

Even in BR IV / V, the US isn’t that disadvantaged. The Kiraly beats out the 50 round Thompson in fire rate, but only a slight amount (770 vs 730). Even then the Thompson still hits harder and houses an additional 10 rounds. The recoil is also smoother on the Thompson.

Besides, the Americans now have the M1944 Hyde, which is better than any Axis AR in the game. Sure, it hits ever so slightly lighter, but it fires 200 rpm faster (950 rpm vs 750rpm). I don’t think the USA is quite as disadvantaged as you believe it is.

And all of them are trash with low rof and vs USA also much lower dmg (Thompson). Soviets at BR3 have 71 round smg, Japan has large mag smg at BR2. How fair is that?

I agree with almost everything at br 4 the Thompson is at a disadvantage it’s fire rate is ok but it has 30 rounds and does negotiable more damage then the kiraly which is at br4

Sorry but going from 600 to 700 to 800
Not enough over 3bt change
That ignores the 21/28 at br4 and 700

Kiraly br4 40 rounds 6.6 760 rpm
M1 br4 30 rounds 6.8 800 rpm

No germany is just better at br4 assaulter

Yea, and put it in BR4
