There are a few guns that have their rear sights zeroed to either weird or outright silly ranges, the most notable example is the recently added MKb.42 (M) with it being zeroed out to what seems like 1200 meters:
An older example which is rather egregious, considering how long it’s been in the game, is the Kar 98k, which is zeroed to about 900 meters, which also extends to the sniper and grenadier models:
This is especially wierd since the Kriegsmodell and Pre-war models are sensibly zeroed to 100 meters:
The third major example is the AS-44 model 5 which is zeroed to 600 meters:
And once again a similar model is zeroed “correctly”, the model 4:
The following is a list of the other guns that I found to have “incorrect” zeroing:
RD-44, about 400 meters, also the sight seems to be clipping through itself:
PPD 1929, unsure:
T20, 1200 yards:
(T20E1, might be 1000, might be 0 yards:)
Bren Mk I, 800 yards:
Bren Mk II, 400 yards:
FG 42, 150 meters (not that important, but it’s weird that it’s in between 1 and 2:
Lahti-Saloranta L/26, 400 meters:
Knorr-Bremse MG 35/36, almost 800 meters:
Type Ko Rifle, ???:
The entire scale is like inverted… this doesn’t make any sense…
I did also find two examples of version of guns where the zeroing marks are just… missing…:
M1 Garand Grenadier:
FG 42 Grenadier:
And both of them were grenadier versions…
Insert the “if I had a nickle […] it’s weird that […]” meme twice.
In conclusion, it would be nice if these sights were fixed since it’s just weird that they don’t use the lowest setting, especially since bullet drop isn’t even a thing in Enlisted at the moment.
