A "Federov Avtomat" for Allies: Winchester Machine Rifle

Same thing as my other post about Vollmer MKb.35, but another Assault Rifle for the Allies: the Winchester MR (also known as the Burton). It houses 2x20 round magazines on the top of the gun, which could have the same reload mechanic as guns such as the MP.40/1, Hyde Model 35 etc. As for stats, I think it’s fine having similar damage to the Federov Avtomat, but it’s rate of fire is 800 rounds per minute, same as the Hyde M1944. As a result, I’d give it either worse recoil and dispersion, or a more punishing reload speed as well as magazine swap speed. Either way, the intention is for the gun to be balanced, but with different strengths and weaknesses.

The gun exists in Battlefield 1 with a magazine full of incendiary rounds. It’s a fun gimmick for their game, but is unrealistic if the gun was fielded on the ground. I would only give it normal ammunition.

Fedorov fires full power rifle cartridges, but this fires 8.8x34mm (about intermidiete size) Winchester cartridges which is outdated too so it shouldnt do more damage than AS-44 or Mkb42.

Now let’s be real, Fedorov fires Arasaka. Not exactly the prime example of full powered rifle. Lol

I vehemently disagree. The Burton Machine Rifle was never used in action during combat during any war ever. Only one rifle was ever produced and it wasn’t even produced under a War Department contract. Throwing it into the game would be wildly anachronistic and serve no useful purpose.

Whatever makes the most sense to the developers. The round it fires is .345 Winchester, essentially a .351 Winchester but with a spitzer bullet. I figured since the Winchester M1907 fires the .351 at 12.6 damage, it could arguably be maintained at a similar damage for this gun too. Either way, as Enlisted is a historically referential game, it’s a cool way to see guns like this in the game.

Perhaps not, but certainly more powerful than the Winchester .345 - .345 Winchester Self-Loading - Wikipedia

Give it a rest, if it existed before Japan surrendered it’s fair game for small arms, weither it fills a niche or not is irrelevant as content is content lol

It doesn’t matter. Making the idiotic decision to include fake Japanese rifles to attract players to the historically worst equipped faction in WW2 rather than designing a unique incentive to play as the Japanese doesn’t warrant further idiotic decisions to include other fake weapons.

It’s been very disappointing to watch this game degrade itself

You left off the T99 Pershing (never left Aberdeen).

I dont see why Allies would need this gun in their tech tree, but it could be a cool BP or event gun.
