An major issue currently with AA is that users are tempted to spam fore at infantry against their intended purpose. Recently the zero for AA was changed to prevent infantry spamming by settimg it super high but this also prevents attacking vehicles if needed.
A good compromise may be to have the AA guns as static emplacements on the map that can be repaired by engineers and restocked but no longer able to build the AA. Set the zero back to the original setting but lower the ammo count available before restocking is needed (30/30?)and lengthen reload time (9 seconds? maybe unless manned by a “loader” skilled soldier… Perhaps award points or a “best weapon crew” award for engineer squads that fire, restock and repair AA emplacements. This makes destroying the AA a priority before taking a point. AA can still spam infantry but its further reduced but maintains playability and freedom of movement.

And who could forget Germany’s Anti-Air turned Anti-Tank gun the Flak 88…which maybe could work as an Engineer construct

Personally i feel that if its not wheeled, it should be static on map. Not buildable. But thats just me.

No compromise those AA ruin the game for months deal with it or uninstall

Engineers should be allowed to build large caliber AA as well as moveable AA
But we should have a concept of weapon squad, a squad can only choose to carry AA or AT
