The bombing run planes that are called in seem very awkward in their current state. They stop the team from calling in artillery, cover a wide area, and are good for stopping a teams movement briefly. However, for as long as they take to reach their targets, they really aren’t as strong as they should be. Many times I’ve been dead center of one of the bombing zones and didn’t take any damage at all. In addition, dinky little palm trees seem to survive the bombings quite often, while an artillery strike or tank hitting it can knock it over. However, its nearly impossible to take down the planes.
Suggested Buff: increase blast radius of the bombs or increase the spread a little bit. Each plane drops a pair of 60 kg bombs if I’m not mistaken, so there should be a decent spread of damage. Also, make them take out ANY trees caught in the radius. This might seem like a minor thing, but in Pacific it would be GREATLY appreciated.
Suggested nerf: make the lead to target the aircraft visible from almost all distances when using SPAA or stationary AA guns. Reduce the amount of damage they can take before they are shot down.
These changes will increase the risk/reward of using bombers, and change the game for the better.
