70 years after Stalin's death

Today marks 70 years since the death of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin.
Do you think any discounts or special events are coming to commemorate this day?

Tehnically it’s not really connected with ww2 and we just had engi event.
But it depends on how strong is the soviet bias in devs.

No, as a lot of the players are from Russia, and many of them put Stalin in their avatars unironicaly. This can cause unnessecary conflict. However, it is crazy to be giving discounts on account of someone’s death, even in case you’re speaking of Stalin.

Okay.
I was thinking of the possibility of some discounts coming to some campaigns.

But surely there could be some event to commemorate his birthday, but there may be no reason to do something to commemorate the day he died.

We could see this as a celebration…

Dunno man. Should we also celebrate the death, birth of the Austrian Cubismus leader?

nah, to be honest, neither Stalin’s nor Hitler’s birthday should be celebrated.
It was not a topic that should have been touched on.

For many eastern block countries for sure.

In my opinion giving discounts in honor of Stalin’s birthday is the same kind of insanity. I think it is better to tie events to that happened directly within the framework of WW2 and not to specific people.

Since the game was celebrating Browning’s birthday, I simply assumed that the game might also celebrate the birthdays of people associated with WW2. However, I realized that Stalin was not really a topic to touch on in the Sebekel reference. My apologies if you were offended.

The 28th is Maksim Gorky’s birthday, so I will celebrate this one.

No because is not releted with the game or any majory festivity around the world

Yeah, we should celebrate Hitler’s birthday too. Cuz why not? I heard he’s related to WWII. :man_shrugging:

Considering that it is politically correct to oppose the Soviet Union in many countries, it is unlikely :no_mouth:
At the same time, compared with controversial political figures, the events related to famous soldiers will be better, such as Кожедуб

Yeah, stupid democracy.

That is different though.

What does this have to do with enlisted or WW2

I don’t care about Stalin’s death. He wasn’t that good of a person to begin with

Politics? In my enlisted forum??? IMPOSSIBLE!!! /S

(t. This thread is obviously bait to stir up shit and isn’t relevant to the game/overly political)

yeah it’s obvious you’re new here

There is no intention to involve political figures in any in-game events.
