they need a buff or introduce new ammo types.

I thot the same then figured it wont happen due to game mechanics !
They will prob never have different ammo options as it would not only affect balance and make their copy paste vehicles pointless !!!
Like whats the point of having litteraly the same types of vehicles or weapons and only difference is ammo payload , take the newest example in battle for Berlin : First IL2 vs IL-2M type 3 and the only difference is in IL-2M type 3 has rockets too…
It is really sad that their lazyness copy paste leads to poor game mechanics !!! … not only with planes but all weapons and vehicles !!
Last time a p51 shot me with a single burst and I set fire. It was probably only 20 bullets.
