The 50 round Lanchester is neat and all but having 4 brrrt in your german squad is pretty neat.

Here’s quite interesting fact. Prove me if I am wrong, but with 1240 rof MP-41 (r) has highest rof of any ppsh-41 like weapons in game.
I’ll go certainly full 4 x MP-41 (r). I really don’t like copies of MP-28 visualy.

Wait what? I thought it would be much lower than not modified Soviet ones…
Didn’t the German lower the rof on the captured ones as they felt it was excessive (and had difficulties finding ammunition)?

haha. not entirely sure faster rate of fire is better. especially on stick mag haha…I wonder if it retains the mp40s damage drop off range.

I’d go with two of each, but thats only because I already have at least 4 MP-717’s or whatever from Stalingrad. I can’t really justify myself having 2 German assault squads based around PPSH. So I’d rather just grab two MP-41R’s and use them in a flame trooper squad or something else.
If you don’t have the MP-717’s or whatever though then yeah, 4 MP-41R’s does sound better.

I do actually think lanchester is more reasonable pick in nearly every way.
But that because the free version has basically best sights of any assaulter full auto weapon for west allies. And this is just better version of it.
Germany has so many good weapons for assaulters… But idk why (cuz it’s really not that good), I just like this weapon a lot!

I will go with four lanchester. I mostly plays western allies in Normandy and I haven’t unlocked any of the Thompson yet. I found most of the allied SMG in Normandy to be garbage, the grease guns are really bad and the Sten/Lanchester are too expensive for what they are. I also don’t like the fact that I have to unlock three or more copy pasta Thomspon in this campaign. I will finally be able to use SMG in Normandy instead of some shotguns (which are really good since their buff imo).
As for the MP-41, I played Berlin axis a lot already and I don’t really see the benefit of this gun. Yes the rof is really high, but the low ammo count makes it quite odd I think. The Germans already have a good selection of SMG (not as good as the soviet one but still really good), and I am not even talking about Assault rifle such as Mkb/MP43/STG that outshine the stick PPsh.

4 MP41(r) is what i chose. The lanchaster is good, a great weapon and all, but is just the free version with more ammo, wich is good of course, but not that unique as some weird mix between Ppsh and MP40.

Yeah, I agree to this point, the lanchester is not really “unique” compared to the MP-41 (r). This is why I think most people will prioritize the german smg.

Personally, I’m going for the Lancaster I think. In Normandy I’ve already got a squad with maxed STGs and in Berlin I’ve got a squad with MP-35s maxed. Both are good weapons and have comparable magazine sizes as the MP-41(r). And since I main Germany, I am more comfortable with lower RoF.
On the other hand, I’m only like level 4 in Normandy allies and I really hate the airborne MGs and the only other weapon that I have access to is the grease gun. And while it’s fine, it’s RoF is painfully low; even if it’s damage is good.
So while it’d be cool to have the MP-41(r) for a backup assault squad, I think it’d be better for me to just have a decent automatic weapon for the Allies. And, better yet, one that’s already maxed out

2 each. Allies have crap assault weapons vs. ze krauts so lancaster is more likely to see use, but i think the mp41r is cool and can be a BR hedge since we dont know about that yet.

Mp41(r) a trophy gun after about lvl 30.
