Hmmm an old blog post shows the 2nd ranger insignia with the release of the Normandy campaign but they haven’t been added yet.
Wanna make a Saving Private Ryan squad. Anyone know if I missed something?

If they were to be a Premium or Event Squad, what weapon could they have
It’s an entire battallion so can be anything really
Personally I would like to start seeing event squads that don’t simply have one obscure weapon that kind of fits, but a variety of appropriate weapons both standard and limited.
For example, it could be one of the more well-known partisan-hunting units and it could have a mix of irregular/rear guard type weapons which might be standard progression items at max level or items which were more rare, like the MP-38, MP-41(r), MP-41, MP-717(r), K98k, MG-34, Finnish Mosin, etc.
Yeah, French/Dutch/German resistance fighters that have a combination of air dropped allied weapons, captured German weapons and stolen confiscated weapons from their old militaries.
My Dutch grandpa, who wasn’t in the resistance, got in trouble wirh the Germans because he broke into a weapons depot where they kept the confiscated Dutch weapons. He stole an officer sword and had to return it. The Germans went soft on him because he ran to his girlfriend’s (my grandma) house and her German mom mellowed out the Germans looking for him.
Point is, that stuff was just up for grabs and actual resistance fighters could, and did, take much more usefull stuff than officer swords.
Much more sensible than never used experimental weapons that some premiums squads have.
I’d take it one step further.
No bayonets, too unwieldly for resistance fighters.
Small ammo amounts for some, but not all squadmembers, like an M95 with only 1 extra reload but also a pistol.
Another soldier with a Kar98 with plenty of ammo.
Another one with a Sten gun or other weapon often supplied to resistance fighters through smuggling or airdrops.
Also some with pistol only.
Lotsa molotovs and tnt packs of course.
You could also make a German conscript squad with this idea, that’s what I’m doing rn with the MP-41(r) and a FN Model 1930
I have an accurate Wehrmacht squad.
-Mp40 + luger
-Mg34 + luger
-Pistol guy to assist (used the artillery luger)
-6x dudes with kar98 and 2x grenades
Got it from a vid that got it from a german field manual.
What, why and how eould a conscript squad look?
Wouldn’t that just be whatever they could get their hands on, especially if it’s Volkssturm in Berlin.
It’s known the axis put there most lackluster units on the Atlantic Wall since they didn’t expect an invasion any time soon, some of these units would have been conscript units that were equipped with captured weapons from countries like Poland, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France and even the Soviet Union. So they’d be equipped with weapons like the MP-41(r), FN Model 1930s, MAS-38s, Carcano’s, MAS-36s (the last two might be unlikely since the Germans had a lot of Kar98ks) and so on.
Ah yeah, that makes sense.
Lol, btw, in the past. Like 15-20+ years ago. I went by the name Dudeman as well in online communities, different number behind it though.
Yea 6th grade me thought it was the coolest username ever when I got my PS4, for some odd reason I decided to use 2805 as a weird combo of my birthday, 2-8-05 = February 8th 2005.
I feel like a dinosaur. Turning 35 this month. I think I started calling myself Dudeman in the late 90’s and already stopped by the time you were born. Perhaps around that time. Unknowingly I must’ve transferred the title to you around that time. Like a reincarnation of online nicknames
Like the passing down of a legacy🤝
