[2 THINGS] M1919A6 Browning, Handheld fired AN/M2 Stinger Browning, and some M2 Browning .50 Cal missing VITAL moving part and feeding-mechanism

TLDR 2 Things:

  1. The belt-feed pawl that comes out when firing most browning machine guns in this game is frozen and not animated in this game.

  2. The belt-holding pawl/cartridge guide pawl is not lifted during M1919A6 and M2 Stinger Browning reloads and then re-covered onto the belt again for helping cartridge guidance. Anybody familiar with the M2 Browning knows about this belt guide and how it has to go over the belt.

Bonus thing: The non-disintegrating belt isn’t visible, but Idk if the M1919A6 Browning MG in this game is disintegrating or not anyway. Just food for thought.

For details on what I mean, read the following:

  1. This is a tiny thing, but it’s still something that bothers me. The belt-feed pawl that comes out during firing an M1919A6 Browning, AN/M2 Handheld Stinger Browning, and some M2 Browning machine guns does not come out properly animated in this game or isn’t animated at all.

Here is an illustration of what I mean:
(The following photos are from Enlisted doing it incorrectly):

^Note, only the M2 Browning in this photo doesn’t have a moving belt, but the other browning MGs prior do have a moving belt.

As we can see, neither the M2 Stinger or M1919A6 Browning have the feeding pawl come out ever and this can be verified by any player here by testing the weapons out for themselves. The belt does move for both of these weapons.

^Note: This is restricted to M2 Brownings on tanks and certain emplacements, but neither the feed pawl or belt moves but this doesn’t apply to all of them as we’ll see later.

Here is the correct animation from the game enlisted on the “High Caliber Machine Gun” Emplacement which is an M2 Browning:

We can see that little dark spot, which is the feeding pawl coming in and out when firing as each round is guided into the machine gun. It’s subtle, but noticeable and correct for this game.

Here we can see this being correct in another game, EA DICE’s Battlefield V, this time on the M1919A6 Browning:

I forgot to obtain an image of the belt going back inward, but I verified that it does and I have a link to the video later that you can see for yourself how it works in action.

Onto the second thing;

  1. The belt-holding pawl/cartridge guide pawl is not lifted and then recovered over the belt for belt guidance, it’s kind of just shoved into the gun improperly.

Here is enlisted doing this incorrectly for the M1919A6 Browning:

I will note, however, that the guiding pawl is at least OVER the belt instead of under or beside it, but it is never moved which is abnormal.

Here is another game, EA DICE’s Battlefield V, doing it correctly:

As we can see, in order, from when the gun is open until it is closed, the guiding pawl latch is opened to remove the rounds with the soldier’s thumb, the new belt is put in with the latch open still and then closed on top once seated, then the gun is closed.

Bonus thing:

Non-disintegrating belt isn’t visible in enlisted but is visible in BFV as we can see.

VIDEO FOR ELABORATION:

Check Time stamp at 42:14, and observe closely. You’ll notice the correct belt-feed pawl coming out animated properly during firing of the machine gun.

At timestamp 42:43, you can see the correct sequence of events of the reload and a glimpse of the non-disintegrating belt when aiming down sights.

This is a tiny thing with the Browning Machine guns, but I hate seeing the parts not move whenever I use them but see the parts move on the M2 Browning emplacement which you’d think they’d spend less time animating uniquely enough.

It’s the small details that count. My particular annoyance is the firing sound the Stinger does. Despite having one in my arsenal and not using it, I wish it sounded more like a Browning on steroids instead of sounding like the MG-34 stock sound. It sounds wimpy.

I couldn’t agree more, especially since this gun rivals the German buzzsaws (even though it only saw action in the Pacific), it should be a little more unique.
Considering we saw a rework on the M1A1 Thompson reloads on a previous post I made, I think they could eventually do that here with the Browning MGs.
