I have noticed that the API-T and HEFI-T ammo on the Flakpanzer I, Pz II Ausf.C and stationary AA (HEFI-T) are funny, the API-T Needs around 20 rounds to detonate ammo, on infantry it doenst even do one hit kills. The API-T is a 148g round at 800m/s, the 143g AP-T is 830m/s, same with the HEFI-T round, which needs 3-4 hits to kill an enemy, which is beyond logical, its a 115 (prewar) and 120g round at 900 m/s (930 m/s 1939 propellant for 115g) round with 6,2 g Pent filler, why do neither rounds effectively kill on one hits?
The nerfed dmg was a result of them beeing spammed constantly in the past to farm infantry which was ruining some maps completely.
In the past every faction had the german 4 barrel Flakvierling which fully protected the user from the front which also featuring AP rounds in the belt that could penetrate a lot of the weaker walls.
This allowed the AA gun to lock down entire maps against infantry as it was pretty easy to wipe entire squads (even in cover) while yourself beeing very hard to kill.
So on some maps it wasnt uncommon to constanty have 3+ AA guns manned and shooting the enemy infantry trying to attack the point.
Even though penetration of walls has largely be removed and the AA guns changed into single barrel ones the devs still suffer from PTSD and fear they might return and cause trouble again.
Ok, so they nerfed the whole thing, took it in general away, but now the 2 vehicles, which rely on it still need to suffer? Why dont they buff it again, and just take the gunshield of the Flak 38 (in game also called KwK 30, because compied over lol) away, cince it was often used without it as a Superheavy MG anyway.
Not to mention cince the addition of HMGs, that can also do it now to some extent.
I most people here totally agree with you too, however sadly its an issue for the devs to fix, the lack of damage autocannons do is terrifyingly sad.
