How can a deserter get that reward?

I was first - he deserted. How can anyone GAIN by deserting team mates?
Did he have the disconnected symbol next to his name?
If it was greyed out and still number one, he was just dead at the end of the game, not deserted

This is the same bug as in the easter event Breaking dead.
P1 reward without being p1.

Well, very simple, if he contributed more than anyone to the Victory.
If at the end you was first with 2000 points and he deserted with 4000 points - he is still number 1 in terms of value to your team
On the bug report page I saw a pic of a scoreboard, p4 was a deserter from start of the match, zero score zero activity but still 1st place reward.
