Hey guys, what’s up, recently in enlisted, the panzerwerfer 42 caught my attention. It looked great, and it would serve as a great collector vehicle. However, I have a question. Is it good in battle, serving as some sort of anti tank and anti personnel in Normandy? I already about know the shell drop, so I can easily do it. However, another thing that concerned me is the ammo. How much rockets does it have? Only ten? Twenty? Someone pls answer this question. Finally, the Panzerwerfer can’t be bought in a separate bundle, so is it still worth it in the bundle, and is the other tank in the Normandy: rocket bundle worth it?
It depends on whether you’re one of those stat focused, butt hurt, must play meta at all costs types with squads full of FG42’s…
The vehicle has no armour to speak of and is fragile as hell. However, when you set up anything you point at and hit is removed off the map and that includes Jumbo’s and Churchills. The 158mm rockets are super lethal to infantry and clear out squads like a direct bomb hit.
I certainly enjoy it and given that its lifespan is measured in mere minutes from the time you unmask as the Allied players will fall over themselves to suicide bomb you into oblivion.
Having said that I’ve managed a couple of reloads on some maps, but its quite situational and some maps (Airfield) are better than others.

Hmm well, there is one map where the allies are coming off the beach, in that map would in shine super good side there’s big open space and not much cover for the allies right?

And I only got this premium vehicle in War Thunder. And it’s one of my favourites there. Sometimes I kill enemies on the other side of the map.
You can test drive it in Enlisted. It should come with 20 rockets. 10 loaded and 10 to reload.
To aim it is a bit tricky first, needs practice.
I will also only buy it when it’s separatedly purchasable from the bundle. For 34,99€.

How common is it that you get lots of kills and find a good hiding place?, also what is the play style of this vehicle?
Yeah, I tested it, got a hold of the aiming, and now I have a question. Once your out of 20 rockets, how to fill up on ammunition? Do you let it refill slowly or do you have to go to a ammo place?
Also I’m pretty sure it will never be able to be purchased separately, if it could, I could get it right now, but due to the bundle, I have to save my money a bit more

And there should be a reload tank ammo icon on your map in game. Like with all tanks. You drive up to it and wait a few seconds. Then you have 20 more rockets in your car.
The beach landing map is actually one of the tougher maps as this vehicle has to practically sit on the ammo point for all intents and purposes - or not far from it. The depression on the launcher is workable and I tend to reverse them into position so that I can drive off rapidly to reload. However, getting into position is cancer, given that the terrain is the Alps irrespective of this being a beach landing. Most of the positions will leave you quite exposed IF you are going to have suitable depression to influence the beach.
The key problem you have is that as soon as you unmask, the signature of those rockets is immense, so if anything is in the air, you’re pretty much dead as soon as they reoload or if they have a bomb/rocket available they’ll kamikaze you on the spot.
Infantry will also Yolo up to you with detpacks as soon as you’re detected, and if any allied tank has LOS on you, then its curtains for you as well.
Their reload rate is workable, it will take a minute or two to get the full reload including the stowed reloads.
As Huddy mentioned you need to sit on the tank ammo point to get the reloads.
I have it and enjoy it, its most lethal on maps that are reasonably flat and offer some concealment for your hull. Once you find a spot where only the launcher can be exposed, its happy days for 20 shots !
I have it and it is fun, rockets are much more powerful than Calliope’s. You can’t just rush in, although it does have an mg, the slightest hit on your rocket launcher you are dead meat. You can’t hull down with this thing, because reloading and weakness is the launcher, but if you ignore all of that, this rocket Apc is fun.
Generally if I see some sweats, leaning and jumping and just being too try hard, I will roll this out and watch my kill count!
Yeah, I thinking about just semi auto firing all of the rockets super fast, then run and find a new spot then repeat

It will vary from game to game. You don’t need to spam the rockets too much - aiming will give you better pay off, but yes, changing position frequently will keep you alive for much longer.
This vehicle is super lethal on Airfield. That map is flat enough so that you can quickly change positions, and any flanking troops on the right side of the airfield will have a bad day if you are vigilant.
Yeah, I just played that map, was hell because of enemy team tanks since there was not much cover.
You can hang back somewhat, you don’t need to drive too close, and make sure you use the buildings for cover. The launcher is at the rear of the vehicle so you can reverse into position to fire and then drive forward to change positions.
Yep, I am seriously considering buying it after the person who said you can buy it wihtout the bundle explains since i diditn rly get it

meh, its ok but it should not be your first joice. if you want Tank Squad, take Firefly, the pz4 is useless but the Firefly kill everything. The strongest Premium Tank is in Defence the Jumbo

You should have a look into the custom game mod section. There are a bunch of “gun range” maps, where you can have a try of Pz.W.42 for yourself. Maybe this helps for your decision.
