I dislike:
the hmg is firing when the aim is clearly outside its arc of fire. it should be restricted
the hmg is a secondary weapon, it should bot have crew priority. this was highly emphasized in the forums
my order would be gunner/driver/loader/commander/mgunner
the gunner position should also control the hmg if crewed. this is also a firung position, therefore it shllould have focus on all weapons
best would be if all seat change for tanks would be manual. everyone could set their crews however they like. I also feel like this qould be more realistic as well, since soldiers don’t wait in line to replace thier commander for example, the would be more confusion, which the manual mechanic would imitate
to reiterate:
- restrict hmg firing only when aiming inside its arc of fire
- allow the gunner to control the hmg, if crewed
- make the loader position selectable. allows using medkits and tools
- no automatic seat change in tanks. only manual. soldiers stay at their designated stations

The bots no longer go through the windows, nor do they go up the stairs to the second floor. Instead, they run around the outside into enemies and dying + the remaining soldiers of the squad standing on the first floor instead of going up
This bug exist since the release of the “Scorching Rays” update.

I have been playing the Operation Market Garden event everyday since its launch and I feel like I can finally give a fair summary of its quality.
The equipment
Contrary to some people, I find the event well balanced.
It’s clearly not balanced 1:1 but overall both Allies and Axis have access to a good arsenal with both sides having their own downsides and advantages.
Yes G43 is a BR higher than M1 Garand, but so is SMLE a BR higher than K98K, we could say the same FNAB<Sten<Mp40<Thompson ect. The balancing choice was clearly a historically accurate one which is highly welcome, its a pleasant experience to play a truly WW2 game once again.
Though some oddities are still there, like the British Orfenrohr which was not necessary since even the PIAT would have been an overkill against the Pz IV J´s light armour.
I think most will agree that on a squad level, Axis squads are better rounded while Allied squads must choose between loud outs and have to rely on the supply box for equipment.
I now see why old campaigns were impossible to balance, it’s not possible to make every single progression level perfectly balanced and players always preferred to play the side that had more advantages (that did not change since)
A bridge too close (map)
The effects/decorations are awesome, so awesome in fact the server hamster has trouble keeping up with all the aircraft flying over the map, which made the whole game mode buggy or out right unplayable.
This map choice was by far the biggest mistake in the event.
The map is too small, there is only one set of objectives and these objectives have no cover, thus any player dumb enough to play the objective quickly dies either to mortars, artillery or sharpshooters camping in buildings, since most second floor buildings on the river bank provide perfect line of sight on the bridges.
Besides winning, what’s the point of capturing the objective? Nothing because it ends the match earlier, when the goal is clearly to get as much score as possible. So ultimately most people are doing their own little sidequests which made this small town map a chaotic arena.
There is always an Axis monkey sitting on AA all match or an Allied AT @rsehole mining the spawn of Axis vehicles.
A map like river crossing would have been a far better choice, with the objectives being both ends of the bridge and surrounding buildings rather than the coverless open.
The lack of greyzones is also annoying since a sniper can hide anywhere without them.
Fun factor
The event can be fun but it can be equally as frustrating.
I had some very fun and some terrible matches while playing this event.
My most fun matches were those in which people completely ignored the objectives and players were actively running around and searching for each other, Axis setting up rallies and APCs while Allies destroying those and trying to find safe spots to land. Resulting in a fun cat-mouse game.
The worst matches I had were those in which people camped in a single spot, usually close to one objective for most of the match, which is easy to do with the abundance of enterable buildings.
The rewards
I dont care too much about the paratrooper squad or the 15 round mkb42s, though I must say its kinda disappointing how low effort these rewards were, especially since the Mkb42´s mag is incorrect and the animation is ass.
Axis and Allies are sitting on the largest event, legacy and BP weapon stash. There are plenty of weapons to give out as rewards.
Overall I will rate this event a solid 6.5 out of 10, mostly for the historical equipment.
I would definitely like to see more historical events.
Equipment itself is not the issue saved for some choices I find out of place.
Issue is more that Allies rely on the para system that requires you to get to the crate to get better gear, and that does not work if your plane gets shot down and the crate crashes in greyzone or if you use rallies.
At least, more paratroopers should have “stock” SMGs and maybe BARs.
I also fail to see the point of the Panzer IV J. Feels like an XP pinata if Allied soldiers managed to land. I sometimes think Allies should get planes as vehicles since half of the Axis soldiers use AA anyways and there are already useless AI planes flying around and doing nothing but killing my FPS.
As a temporary measure, you could use a VPN. It effectively “change” your ip.
It will at least allow you to play a few matches, which are required to even post here… after a week of not playing at least two matches, you get locked from the forums.
Thats what I said actually, maybe you did not read it or maybe you mentally skipped that part.
You can still get the box most of the time if you bother to look for it.
To make AT load out worthwhile.
The real question is whats the point of German AT soldiers?
It was a missed opportunity to not make a German paratrooper squad with the 10 round mag to go along with the event…
Im actually happy that we didn’t get a squad alongside these guns, this way I can forget about them without feeling guilty about it.

Well, you could issue more SMGs as normal guns instead of just giving it to one guy. Especially concerning British paratroopers, issue one squad with Stens only, it is a shitty SMG anyways.
I had cases where the box was beyond saving or simply vanished.
Well, you can still use it to nuke APCs and AA guns from distance.
Dunno, using AT gear to hit infantry is kinda funny I guess. Maybe they wanted to add Allied vehicles but forgot them.
