Your are using the place of origin of the gun. The berethier carabine is still a french gun no matter been used by what nation, just like zh29.

No one mentioned shotguns? I wasn’t a fan of shotguns in games before, in most cases I would have chosen an automatic weapon, but I found that shotguns can be fun when playing as allies in Tunisia and the Pacific, maybe they aren’t strong enough, but playing games for fun is enough.
