Well, the thing about warfare is that it’s not 1v1. For example these tanks don’t really fight each other - Russia is using the T-55 tanks as artillery (no, I’m not kidding) and T-62 tanks mostly as infantry support vehicles (think the StuG in its original role). The same with Ukraine - the AMG-10RC armored cars and Leopard 1 tanks also should be used as infantry support vehicles.
But as for the game itself the no. 1 concern should be improving the game quality, not adding new content. So I agree that any non-WW2 content can (and should) wait.
And Enlisted is a gaijin live to service and as every gaijin game it pump out contenent withaut caring of their quality, another year and with this speed enlisted have almost all the possible ww2 equipment and most of the important battlefield, so is natural for gaijin add other war era to the game for keep it alive
For referece warthunder was a ww1-ww2 plane game now have tank firing drone…
WW1 would be awesome and actually super easy to make – we already have all the Mosins, Gewhers, Lebels, SMLEs and they just need minor tweaks, MP-18s, Beretta M1918s, Madsens and Lewis’.
Eastern, Western and Desert Front assets are also ready.
But it needs to be a separate Event/mini-campaign, not mixed with WW2.
I think what he’s saying is he doesn’t want stuff like the M48 Patton, M41 Bulldog, etc, fighting WW2 tanks like Tigers. Or M16A1s vs StG 44s. Which that is a totally fair concern.
I think they could have separate queues or campaigns for different wars. Like have a global queue and tech tree for WW2 matches, WW1 matches, Korean War, Vietnam, etc, whatever they would hypothetically add.
I think they do first korea because is even the last ww2 like contenent they can add for keep milk the setting before switch, equipment is not different from what we already have
Trying to make a good ww1 using enlisted logic would be impossible especially seeing as there are games that do the WW1 theater better. (EG, BF1, Isonzo, ect ect)
impossible to make it ww1 ? how? we already have weapons for it in many cases just need maps and correct tanks,MGs,vehicles, AT guns etc… this game will probably include multiple eras of wars in the future so why would they limit themselves? even if there are other games that are from bigger companies like EA that doesn’t mean that enlisted can’t include such time settings as well
