Hope they will, because otherwise i will be left with 20 of them (i have almost as many mp717(r) as MKb42s). Mkb42 is not as strong as Stg44 and Mp43/1 it’s way less accurate with higher recoil and slower rof.
I agree that auto weapons on every rifleman is nonsense. The FG 42 is more like a machine gun, and the M2 carbine is basically an SMG.
The best solutions I can think of it limit the amount of weapons per squad, introduce an auto rifle class, or reclassify current auto rifles.

I always though that “better weapons = smaller squads” was the most straight forward way to balance these things.

I feel like there should be a distinction. Engineers and combat engineers. Engineers as they currently are, and combat engineers being stalingrad versions (with maybe less build options or less squad members)
Also feel like flamer and combat engineers could merge.

Now, engineers, when in Flamer and gunner squads, can do something unique.
So… why couldn’t engineers in ASSAULTERS squad couldn’t have this unique aspect of bringing some assaulter weapon?

There is a saying among engineers in the world: “if something works, don’t touch it”, and we have already seen the disasters that dark flow has made when they wanted to change/add new features. Let’s leave it as it is, because that’s how it works very well.

One thing I would like clarified is if the stalingrad weapons being removed from research like M93, Thomson and Captured PPSH need to be unequipped from soldiers in order to keep them, or if they’ll be transferred along with the troops
M2, fg42,… all special assault weapons for their time but every infantry can use them.
This is beyond logic ffs sake.
Why devs allowed it is beyond me .
Even fricking engineers being able to use some is 2 times mind blowing.
Engineers are not commandos
Normally, they mostly do their job behind first line of contact, behind frontlines.
Only way to reduce this full auto spam is dropping the every squad type to just 1.
Just 1 assaulter , 1 engineer, 1 mortar etc… per faction.
So no 3 assaulter spam very match.
And since they have a chance to change squad unlock trees totally with update, none of them should be able to add assaulter.
Moscow for eg… is ridiculous nowadays. I have never seen so much smg/ ast spam even in berlin.

Engineers without Assault rifles should be able to build better higher caliber AT guns.

Exactly. The FG42 was mainly a paratrooper weapon and functions more like an LMG. The M2 Carbine, despite plans to mass produce it, was only made in limited numbers in WW2 and most went to the Pacific theater.
So the fact they can be equipped to every rifleman is just absurd.

the worst offender is the avt-40
because its the best gun out of every other ones that can be equiped on eng.
Oh my bad, I’ll make that correction. I haven’t gotten the MKB yet, I saw it was considered a rifle rather than an assault weapon.

it was ment to be used on troopers too on stalingrad introduction, but was changed to assaulters and eng only on stalin based of community feedback.

Oh I see, that sounds like it’d be rough. And yeah I’ve only recently started Stalingrad Axis and the AVT is a pain as well 
I think at this point its better to make FG a Gunner gun and make the rest Assaulter locked.

all of this rifles are better than mkb. and can be equiped on multiple soldiers including engineers.

in my opinion it should stay as a engineer weapon too., but i m biased to it because i love using it with engineers.
as long as its a high BR weapon , and force players to use other semi or bolt on eng on low BR.
same with all the other variants on this list.
