Pps-42 and mkb42 were in Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad as well which is commonly regarded as the most historically accurate WW2 game.
Im pretty sure that they wanted to copy that game to kill steal its playerbase with the better graphics.

Very much can be the case, indeed.
Doesn’t change the fact that neither PPS nor MkB went into any production until the spring of 1943, when the Battle of Stalingrad had already ended.
Literally after a couple weeks after Stalingrad campaign was released, every battle was full of the rakatatatata sound of MkB-42 lmao
Not to mention that the original pre-release vlog post for Stalingrad had MkB available not only for Engineers and Assaulters, but also Riflemen.
not completely ahistorical since Germany did have entire platoons armed with StG44, starting in 1944…
So this should have been a feature in Normandy, instead of FG42.
The only units that should have STG-44s are Grenadier and Volksgrenadier units, which is what I do.
Lmao
A few years ago I was part of an Italian mafia role-playing crew in GTAV (PS4), where it was mandatory to change your name to Something _ Beretta so for reasons unknown I called myself Jimmy. The funny thing is that the Beretta boss was killed in less than a month for “family betrayal” and by role-playing rules everyone has to change their name to another mafia or form their own. I automatically deleted everyone from my friends list and never heard from them again, I didn’t change my name again because I had to pay 5 dollars and it’s not something that really bothers me.
Moral of the story, don’t change your name for something you don’t know how long it will last. My previous name and which I had since 2013 (PS3) was “loquillo2000” or “Crazy2000” in English.
There are times when my old friends call me “loquillo,” and I feel like paying those 5 and going back to being myself. Damn, now it sounds a little sad.
Oh, nick name history!
Mine is real simple. I was a regular player of Red Orchestra (the first one) when I chose this. Simpler times. It was an era when everyone either:
I thought they looked silly. Generals don’t fight anyway. So I thought to myself “what’s the best way to put those posers in their place?”
To grant myself the lowest of the low “military” rank. A mere conscript, a guy that don’t even want to be here… Then massacre them in game.
Fancy general got owned by a lowly conscript. Eheheheheh
Also, I really enjoyed playing as a Soviet conscript. a proud “mustard hat” fighting the “krauts” (common insults players of both teams threw at each others while larping. Because YES, there WAS voice communication, AND you could talk to the enemy. ppl weren’t as easily offended back then.
(I don’t remember how I named myself back during Call of Duty the first original, or Delta Force multiplayer… those are… old…)
body armor who eat with vitality perk 10 bullets from a fg 42 II, cold war lmg, stalinium tanks hitting on ammo area, soon an auto grenade launcher for buls, etc.
I’ve played all the Call of duty and all the Medal of Honor games ever released. I also have Red Orchestra, Easy Red, Hell let loose and a couple other WW2 Steam games that at the moment don’t have installed.
Greetings. I’m huge fan of movies.
My profile picture is the character Sgt. Rolf Steiner from the movie “Cross of Iron”, which I recommend if you’re into old-school war films. Interpreted by the great actor James Coburn, who was a legend coming from doing Western movies, starring in films like Magnificent Seven. Paired with Sam Peckinpah’s directing style which had a lot of ‘grit’ as he came from the explotation genre and was famous for his way of framing shootout scenes.
This still-frame I chose for the profile picture, it immediately speaks Cinema to me. (Ik, insert Scorcese meme here)
Sgt. Steiner’s is someone who’s absolutely done with war and fighting. Yet he has to survive through it all and do it again. That’s literally me everytime I play Enlisted.
You changed it back…
I guess it’s a part of me now as a Japan main and a Tomoko fan. Too iconic to let it go lol
That’s fair, it suits you very well.
What’s that?
