What is your tolerance to copy paste weapon?

Personnally I hate copy paste weapon, it is really decouraging grinding a gun that I used hundred times in all other campaign. I don’t mind if it fts in the campaign historically, such as kar98, mosin, mp40 etc, but things like german craps in Tunisia are really depressing. What is your opinion about copy paste?

Absolutely, the Japanese having MP 40s breaks even the “Jumbo precident”, none were anywhere near the pacific. However, they will get certainly MP 28s and/or MP-34(O)s, as well as other Bergmann style Submachine Guns like the SIG M1920 and maybe even a Beretta M38 or an ERMA EMP, but not an MP-40.

I honestly don’t mind it.

I’d rather sit and earn different models and variants in differen’t campaigns, then get them by default for already unlocking them in other settings…
This game would be really boring otherwise.

I don’t mind as long as it makes since (or at least is possible) historically-wise and doesn’t break the balance of the campaign. Cough, Mkb42, cough.

Moscow was a great campaign with its relativelty slow pace bc of bolt action, until the MKb, AVS36 came along. Now its just chaotic.

I don’t really like it but with the Axis there’s going to be a lot of copy and paste however it can be easily fixed by added a better variety of weapons to the lower campaign levels such as Moscow, Tunisia and Berlin.

There are quite a lot of weapons they could make available across the axis campaigns to kind alleviate the copy and paste to give you the choice to use different weapons to keep things fresh.

Such as

  • more Italian smg’s early progression on Tunisia and replace the existing German ones
  • C96 broom handle machine pistols/carbines on the german side
  • Czech and finish submachine guns on Moscow like the ZK 383 and Suomi KP-31
  • more unique British weapons on Tunisia like the Sten Mk1 and Enfield Pattern 14

There are quite a lot of things that could be added to solve the copy and paste issue.

Some of the existing guns and the level gaps on unlocking campaign are just ridiculous like you can get DP-27, SVT-40 early in Berlin but the same guns are on a high level in Moscow. Tunisia had some of the worst offenders like M1 Garand at level 25 when you can get the gun much earlier in Normandy while Gewehr 41 is a worse version of Gewehr 43 with the long reload.

MG34 at level 29 in Tunisia also one of the worst offenders too considering you can get it at a lower level in Berlin like only a masochist Tunisia Axis player can get it knowing the state of Tunisia Axis in general atleast.

Some level gaps are justifiable.
Moscow is in 1941-42 (early war) and Berlin is in 1945 (late war). So it’s okay for balance and giving the feeling of early war with mostly bolt action. Same can be said about Tunisia & Normandy (but mostly about balance).

But yeah, some level gaps don’t really make sense. e.g Sten mk.II (level 2 Tunisia & 22 Normandy), Thompson (level 14 Tunisia & 29 Normandy), Lanchester (8 Tunisia & 26 Normandy). wait, most of them Tunisia…coincidence? i think not

The Panzerfaust 60 is also one of the biggest level gaps considering you can get it as early as level 6 in Berlin but it’s level 30 in Normandy(You get Panzerfaust 100 at the same level in Berlin).

For MP40， K98k, and so on, I have no issue of having those famous weapons again in new campaigns.
What I dislike most is Dev regret their promise of weapon transfer.
I asked Keofox about the limitation of transfer. He said

“researched”
Campaign levels itself is also a tech tree. And the squad’s level is too a tech tree.

If they allowed us to transfer without CAMP LV limitation, then the barrier for players to switch campaigns will be reduced.
But they just regret it. And keep letting players grinding and unlocking MP40 for +∞ times.

I don’t mind it.

Would be stupid to have mp40s or k98ks on Moscow and not have them in the other campaigns. For example.

I couldnt care less If I ill use it or not, but Atleast it’s another option to choose from.
