What is something you'd wish you'd known earlier, or your favorite tip?

Mine has to be using ‘C’ when flying aircraft.

Allows you to look around without moving the plane, keep your eyes on enemies when maneuvering and combat the G force from turning.

I was already playing the game for a month when I realised that your AI focus on your marks.

also fact of the day: grey zone is not shared in the vehicle, you can be on the map while one or more of your crew are in grey zone:

Mr.Hermann was sacrificed to greyzone God

With that said aswell - with tanks, you can have 5 players in each position of the tank, with all of their squad mates outside of it. So you can have a proper tank fully manned by players while AI provides infantry support. Takes communication which you don’t get in enlisted - but it is possible.

What is something I’d wish to learn sooner?
How to actually claim rewards from events. I completely missed rewards of 25 round BA rifle event because of it.
And events are still prett much hidden, not very user friendly for newbies. And there’s still not autoclaim.

It’s obviously purposely made as anti-user, nothing else.

That you could abuse sandbags for Superman HMG.

that grinding the ability to call artillery strikes 2 times more often with the radio operator doesn’t affect squads that aren’t radio operators, I could have saved a lot of time grinding for that ability on other squads

You can kill a Pz.4 with one 75mm HE shell

Same. I completely missed my opportunity to claim the MP40/Sten silenced squads because of this. I wish DF would do rerun squad events, but that is highly unlikely.

I dont see the minimap Marker used much (at all really). Press M, Hold “alt” and click on map. Drops a big yellow marker for everyone to see

Very useful for mortars and pointing out enemy buildups/rallys (without needing line of sight)

Just nice to know:
Tapping right click with some weapons uses an alternative sight while holding right click tends to just sight the weapon.

Clicking and holding the left mouse fires your bolt action without racking the bolt until you release it.

Holding c with an infantry man allows you to look around and also see reload animations.

You can reload engineer built structures if you have the hammer out and materials left.

Landing your butt effed or not airplane successfully gives you 100 points.

Try not to run things over in your tank, you will likely get stuck.

You can throw smoke grenades that are on the ground many times.

No matter how mighty the enemy tank, as long as you track it somehow, it is a sitting duck.

in my first game, i thought the tank squad was 2 tanks, until i see it was the driver

Helper already confirmed it’s planned. But he said it will be way more harder to obtain than it was for the first time.
