What are you even supposed to do against Grants?

Yep, but APHE do kinda work against infantry anyway.

Yep

The semovente definitely DOES have enough pen to punch Grants in the face. Aim for the least angled plate, the one in driver’s face, and enjoy the fireworks.

If you can’t flank, and aren’t good with planes, and have no choice but to face a Grant frontally: shoot out its transmission.

Even the level 6 M14/41 tank can pen that. That’ll immobilize it, then you can move out of the way of its big hull mounted 75mm gun (which is the more dangerous cannon on the tank, but has an extremely limited field of fire). Then you can shoot out its 75mm cannon barrel. That’ll leave it broken and weak against tanks.

While it’s stuck and you’re safe from its 75mm cannons field of fire, you have three options:

  1. Kill its crew as it gets out to try and repair its broken tank

  2. Shoot the drivers port (all axis tunisa tanks use APHE rounds, so it should kill most if not all the crew)

  3. Shoot at this part of the canvas cover for the 75mm cannon. Ammo is stored right behind it, so a penetrating shot will destroy the entire tank in either one or two shots.

This is a very good and way too high effort for this thread lol. Thank you so much!

what about pz4 ? it can do even though its so high in campaign

In a real battle detrack it first. Most likely the tankers will have to pull out and you can kill them. This spot that is shown on a screenshot also doesn’t instakill but sets the engine on fire which allows to kill KV-1 even with starter PZ III although more than one shot is needed

Assuming you will manage to flank it. And that’s quite difficult on a corridor maps.

The Semveonte, can kill the grant from the front easily enough, but it is a stand off tank, best used from as far back as you can to maximize the View and SA.

And it’s AP round are unusually effective against infantry, if you hit one of them with it will kill all those near by.

Grants kind of suck imo, after having used one for some time now.

  • If you damage the turret ring on them the Hull gun is for some odd reason also unable to move.

  • The Hull gun’s AP round Sucks you need multiple hits to kill with it most of the time, they Nerfed this hugely

  • The 37 mm HE round is as effective as the AP round against infantry, that is unless you hit them with it there not dead

  • The MG is ok, at least if fires longer than the MG 34 on the German tanks, and does not have the ridiculous reload time the Italian tank MG’s have.

All the Normal ways to kill a Grey Zone tank apply, AT gun, bigger tank, the PIV can kill them very easily, Bomb, even the P IIIN can kill them from the front but its a bit tricky to do so.

Had to use Stuka against Grants until I get tanks like Panzer III and IV.

  1. Take some 3 friends with you
  2. Make sure each and everyone of you has a Stuka with 500kg
  3. Take turns in suicide bombing said tank (tbh one should be enough)
  4. If you’re defending, feel free to continuously cycling suicide bombs
  5. If you’re attacking, limit this tactic to 2 planes only, it really eats tickets after using 3 planes

and hey don’t feel guilty when suicide bombing, just remember that they are grey zone campers

True. But detracking is possible even if you cannot flank it. Which gives you a chance to kill some of the tankers or makes for your infantry easier to blow it up.

Grant is s multi turret tank, this mean turret have a bad armor , shoot them for disable him and next take your time and kill the crew, all axis tank can do this

Nice to know. Even tho i go to a more faster way to deal with it. A detonation pack above driver hatch or pz3 with heat round on the hull.

Never forget to yell alahu akbar on voice chat and proceed to do a suicide dive.

Works everytime. 90 %of the times…

The remaining 10 % even on a fail, Atleast have the cool factor.

That’s why the game is full of suicide missiles, savvy players never use supply points, they just kill themselves.

If you feel that this has lost your sense of immersion in the game, well the current game is like this, its a pity. I have to say that under the current mechanism, due to the lack of proper incentives or punishments for players, like this, supply points are useless most of the time in the game.

Even the parachute mechanic is useless, because smart players just keep committing suicide, it’s not that they can’t fly, maybe they have a lot of bombs that really don’t work properly, but suicide missiles are the most efficient way to play

If you want more immersion, you can play Big Action Mod

When the size of the playable area reaches a certain threshold, campers and suicide planes become meaningless.

The map is really big and you can camp. But because the map is so big, you also struggle to kill enemies most of the time, and ultimately don’t add positive value to the battle situation.

You can also play suicide missiles if you’re willing to spend a few minutes flying and mistreat your precious pilots and planes

I’m fine with this feature. It’s a good way to balance individual campaigns/maps prominance of the air and it’s a nice way to abstractiate the pilot landing on an airfield and resupplying without me crashing 9/10 times like in Warthunder. It wasn’t really a complaint against the system itself more a point against dealing with Grants with a single bomber available.

As for the parachute feature, I found that I love larping as a secret agent who lands behind enemy lines with silenced weapons to cause havok and chaos. It’s not something that’s always possible but when I pull it off I have a ton of fun with it. Until I run out of ammo.

I said what to do if you don’t have a pz3 with heat round. I mean we always should play for the win despite the circumstances.

miss that part, my bad. sorry.

No.
thats secondary.

one should always play to have fun. if winning is the only way one can have fun, i m certain this aint the right game for it.

Globally I agree.

Man o Mano I like to win though.
