Short?
@shanghai_shrek: I used the short for urban work but used the long at any opportunity, I liked the extra muzzle velocity and the slightly softer recoil.
Not trying to derail the topic. I’d 100% like to see malfunctions for pretty much every gun.
RNG is a perfectly fine thing to use to abstract details and variables in combat that are simply too time intensive or complicated to extrapolate in a game engine. Murphy’s law, shit happens at unexpected times.
Having a failure to fire, failure to feed or extract for semi-autos and sub machine guns would continue to keep bolt-actions relevant in a game depicting a war where most people were carrying bolt action rifles.
The FTF on the bolt guns have 100% have gotten me killed before but seeing my character struggle with reloading his weapon imparts a sense of urgency and it just feels good.
I see weapons malfunctions as the same as random tripping in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
For those that don’t know, in the Nintendo fighting game Super Smash Bros. Brawl, there was a random chance for your character to fall over when walking or running. Because of this mechanic, the competitive seen reverted to the prior game in the series till a new Smash Bros. game (without random tripping) came out.
If weapons malfunctions are kept in the game there will probably never be any competitive seen for Enlisted. The real concerning part is why it’s only one bolt action rifles, my feeling is it will be used to annoy new players into spending money for better weapons that don’t jam.
I fucking hate malfunctions. Remove them. Why should I be punished with a long ass animation because the snail decides my time has come?
I’d like to see this feature for Automatic weapons as a way of highlighting the use of rifles.
yikes. I’ll gladly skip this game entirely if the entire intent is to schlack a WWII veneer over some E-sports moba sweat lord garbage.
