Absolutely not. This is a terrible Idea. We want the proper statistics of weapons and for them to be as authentic as possible. Just play BR 2 dude, you can still make historical loadouts with BR 2 gear. Otherwise just use the MP40 in BR 3, it’s still a solid weapon.
At least every country is eligible to participate, so it is very fair. ![]()
Your idea is terrible. Since Enlisted implemented a weapon tiering system, all weapon calibers have been properly categorized. Forcing the MP-40 back to Tier 3 is tantamount to sending a newbie to their doom. Furthermore, the historical campaign mode has been removed. Unless you’re in the event campaign “Operation Market Garden” where you configure weapon combinations for a WWII historical squad, you can now only play in matchmaking based on weapon tech tree levels.
Erica, are these hidden vehicles you found functional? Or are they just cosmetic models?
- tank destroyers, SPAAs and SPGs (which are unplayable in the realities of this game)
- even more prototypes and stuff that never saw action in WW2
- reworked old location
…
All the while we’re sitting on the goldmine that is WW2.
While we could be getting the French with Char B1 and Arras, the Chinese at Shanghai or Changsha, the Finns or the Poles, or ar least new fronts like Southern Italy or Southern France or Barbarossa 1941, but we’re still drip feeding and milking the “4 nations x 5 BRs” and “all maps x all BRs” bs mantra.
Big sad.
only the italian car and the german truck are functional.
( as of yet )
They’ll eventually drip feed it all to us, the game is basically a live service game.
The weapon as depicted in Enlisted are not authentic. The data as presented is arbitrary and is decided by the Developers. Do not for one minute consider that the weapons in Enlisted are being presented as they perform and performed in real life. They “look” like a weapon but the way they behave is decided by the Developers not by real life performance.
So yes, the MP 35/I performance in Enlisted could be given to the MP 40 and vice versa.
Do you want realism? Then ask for the re-introduction of weapons jamming in Enlisted because that USED to actually be in Enlisted. I know because I played Enlisted when that still was implemented. And it was ok for me, but apparently it was removed to please some people that did not like it.
Now if we were going to have weapons jamming again in Enlisted the first contenders would be the Ppsh 41 with a drum magazine. Because those were notorious for jamming, which led to stick magazines being introduced instead.
So no, weapons in Enlisted do not perform according to their real world performance, they perform like the Developers make them perform.
So again: the MP 35/I performance in Enlisted could be given to the MP 40 and vice versa. That will allow players to equip their troops at BR 3 with the real world MP 40 which was issued in huge numbers to front-line troops in WW2, as opposed to the MP 35/I which was not.
I remember when enlisted had proper campaigns and it was good and bad the continuity was better but the game play I must say was less fun IMO. If you like something just run it, I run lots of br 2 stuff/squads in my BR 3 US lineup I’m not so worried about historical accuracy so long as its within reason still respect points for caring but enlisted is a bit more of an arcadey as opposed to HLL which is slaveishly ‘realistic’ and ‘historically accurate’. more power to you if you run something non meta to be historically accurate but there are some practical reasons for it to be BR3.
Nonsense. Look at what I replied to @TJLockie-live
To give an obvious example of just how arbitrary Enlisted is: There is no real world justification for having the exact same rounds give lower/higher damage in some weapons in Enlisted than others.
The Gewehr 41 and Gewehr 43 fired the exact same rounds as the Kar 98 k and yet in Enlisted the damage they do is different. The same applies to many 9 mm rounds in various weapons in Enlisted.
The Developers can and will do whatever they want, when they want, how they want and it does not have to have any justification in reality.
So again: the MP 35/I performance in Enlisted could be given to the MP 40 and vice versa. That will allow players to equip their troops at BR 3 with the real world MP 40 which was issued in huge numbers to front-line troops in WW2, as opposed to the MP 35/I which was not.
Take a step back and look at the facts in Enlisted: The weapons and their performance in Enlisted are Developer determined, they are arbitrarily portrayed.
That also means that the BR 3 stats and rating can be adjusted to have the weapons that were used in the front-line in numbers portrayed in both BR 2 and BR 3 for those of us that want Enlisted to be a WW2 game that does justice to what was actually used in huge numbers by front-line troops. For those of us that do not care about any that, there is BR 4 and BR 5 with the ever growing list of fantasy weapons and weapon systems.
Having said that: The current MP 38 is at BR 2 and the current MP 40 is at BR 2, both currently have almost the same in-game performance. This has led to weapons in Enlisted that in reality failed to get into mass production (MP 35/I) to be put in BR 3 to make sure that Germany has BR 3 Machine Pistols / Sub-Machine Guns.
So currently the MP 38 and MP 40 are both more or less the same in Enlisted, and both are in BR 2.
However: the current Beretta M 38/42 is at BR 2 and the current Beretta M38A 40 is at BR 3 with an arbitrary and markedly better performance for the latter, and that is only to justify putting it in BR 3.
The MP 38 and MP 40 could get the “Beretta M 38” treatment with the current BR 2 MP 40 getting the stats of the current BR 3 MP 35/I and the current MP 35/I getting the stats of the current MP 40, in other words swapping their performance since both used the same 9 mm rounds and the MP 40 succeeded in real life where the MP 35/I clearly did not.
So that would put the MP 35/I at BR 2 with the current stats of the current BR 2 MP 40, and put the MP 40 at BR 3 with the current stats of the current BR 3 MP 35/I.
That would still leave the MP 38 at BR 2, which is ok because at BR 2 the MP 38 can be used to authentically equip a BR 2 squad.
This is true but some people love number crunching (ergo less damage for semis) sometimes it makes sense sometimes its silly, I play custom games and they are often more fun than squads because of this issue. unfortunately I love BR 4 and the Winchester 1886… so IDK there should be a more serious realistic mode or something. If anything it would be best to buff the mp 40 (keep it BR 2) so it is a bit more playable at BR3, honest though luck and who you are against often matter more than arbitrary stats I can still do well with a br 1 smg like the stem mk3 or a 1911 at br 3.
Okay, based on Erica observations and analysis, perhaps the Italian armored vehicles and the German anti-aircraft trucks will be the reward vehicles for some event in the next one.
The MP-35/1 was a weapon adopted by the Waffen-SS in the early stages of the war and remained in use until 1944. While German troops also used submachine guns captured from other countries, albeit in limited numbers, this doesn’t mean they weren’t used. Based on Enlisted’s historical battles, the units using these foreign weapons demonstrate a high degree of historical accuracy in WWII depiction. If it were only MP-40 submachine guns, I believe it would be too monotonous and boring. You should thoroughly research WWII history before commenting on Enlisted’s weapon settings, because a minority doesn’t mean they didn’t exist, and captured weapons don’t necessarily have to be German-made. Being too biased is unacceptable, as this is also a key characteristic of Enlisted.
No one is stopping you from using MP40 in BR3.
Besides, your claims are just non sense.
Most common US submachine gun of the war was the M1A1 Thompson which also happens to be BR2.
used in by German troops in the tens thousands…
Nothing wrong here at all.
I hope that atlest one is gonna be tt, similar to the American half-track AA one
Pretty sure this gun being added was revealed in the hidden threat update:
Although most likely it’s just a coincidence that the promo art team put the kp31 in the image.
I think it was to promote the flamethrower version tbh
These reward vehicles might appear in some future event, but for now they’re just gathering dust in the editor because many mods are only for viewing and not for use, let alone copying and moving them into the tech tree.
The KP31 in the image doesn’t have the flamethrower attachment, also the soilder doesn’t have a fuel tank.
