These days I mostly only look forward to new map updates, but a couple of these new additions are nice.
Finally, the MG81!
The 1912 is relatively unoffensive, though it contributes toward br2 soviets becoming ever more homogenized.
The Northover projector should have been tied to an event squad.
I would have liked to see how Japan faired against the Ussr in a later patch, without a bunch of ofenrohr spam, oh well, no fun allowed.
The soviets didn’t NEED a jet lol, I’d enjoy playing them just fine without one, why are absolute parity players the only group catered to anymore…Divergent gameplay is FUN…
Christ the Meteor is hideous, no matter where I see it, I immediately need to bleach my eyes.
I love playing soviets, it’s perfectly ok for the axis faction to have better vehicles in a variety of categories, so long as soviets excel in other areas.
ahem-ahem, machineguns, ahem-ahem, but yeah, I get it. I’d like to see some assymetric gameplay too, but…
Tank. Greyzone. Small map. Open field points. High-Explosive shell from respawn to the point… You know, no matter how good your guns, you just die of explosion.
There were 8 (9 with funny biplane) candidates for a soviet jet/prop-jet (at least, I remember there were more, but I can’t find them). But they chose the one that is production-ready and easy to implement. Its made in the warthunder.
I mean, I tried to find any and failed.
I found some variants for germany, btw, I think its better to change german ampulomet to italian pneumatic grenade launcher:
IMO, it makes for more fun varied gameplay, I actually support BR1 being able to face all the way up to BR5, however, these incidents shouldn’t be commonplace. Situations of BR1 facing BR5 should be exceedingly rare, and BR3 facing BR5 should be uncommon.
Nearly all modern shooters have taken such a sterile and corporate approach to balance, and I hate seeing enlisted become just another FPS in these stale fetid waters. I’m willing to see how these changes go though, they could alleviate the humdrum through other means.
I’m sorry, I make no concessions on the Meteor. Just know that when you fly her, I’m there next to you, in spirit, judging you, and averting my eyes.
I remember Heroes and Generals without any BR system. It was indeed more varied. But it was possible to win with mosins against stgs. Why?
Maps were giant and no grey zones at all, you were able to cross any river anywhere, go to flank, kill eveny tank and etc.
Resources system, IIRC, more modern equipment required more team resources, so people were able to spam low-rank stuff.
Repair-cost system made possible to actively play with top-tier guns and vahicles only for those who played them well or straight up donated for silver.
Small amount of players on map, battles for single points consisted of 3-4 players mostly.
