I would like to suggest adding a premium or event Vichy French assaulter squad equipped with the Colt M1921 Thompson with a 20 round magazine to the Axis

This squad would represent Vichy French forces during the early-mid years of the war, providing the Axis with a unique French-themed squad instead of another standard Wehrmacht or Italian unit.

Before the Fall of France, the French government ordered approximately 3,000 Colt M1921 Thompson submachine guns from Auto-Ordnance.

Although many never reached frontline units before the armistice, a number of Thompsons were delivered and later appeared in the hands of Vichy French forces, and even showed up in some propaganda pieces, although almost always using the 20 round magazine.

They could use the already in-game French voice lines used by the Moroccan and Resistance squad (which is noticeably Metropolitan French accented, thus making it more appropriate for an Armistice Army squad)

The uniforms could be the French Mle. 1941 uniform, unique to the Vichy French army in the metropole, depicted in period images and propaganda, either with the tunic on or simply the undershirt, as seen in the images provided. With either Berets, or even Adrian helmets.

The Thompson variant I am suggesting already appears in the game as a Japanese event weapon. The stats would therefore be identical.

Pleae make it have 30 rounds, and br 3 and make it to where ai can give it to a German squad. I don’t like the French
(Shameless plug-in A alternative Thompson for br 3 Germany: The 1921 Thompson with 30 round mag (MP-761(a))

Shouldn’t be at BR2 in the first place.

Never works like that for event squads. Never has and most likely never will.

Why are you creating another post about trophies?

They’re not trophies as such. They’re the weapons the French State, or Vichy France, had to equip its military forces after Germany seized most of the pre war French equipment. The majority of the Vichy SMGs were in fact purchased Thompson SMGs, similar to how the British bought a lot of them early in the war before Sten production got started properly.

Would make a good event reward squad i guess.

After all, the captured Thompson submachine guns aren’t French.
France (including the Vichy regime) never manufactured Thompson submachine guns.
I could also write a lot about captured weapons—but only in the context of other countries.

I don’t understand why you’re running short on weapons for the Germans, given the vast array of weapons available in their research tree.

You’re funny.

What do you mean “rare”? For the event, the Germans got the most squads, and the same went for weapons—they were given the best ones.

When was the last Event Squad for Axis who could be put in the Event Slot?
