To partly answer you, tge VG IS usable, but really only if full star. If not you’re better with regular smgs.
Is good as riflman CQC weapon because of the low recoil and little higher fire rate than the G43, but wy is in the assaulter hand is mistery instead m2 carabine is riflman weapon GG
gastanofrizzi is going to be a daddy, congratz
the VG 1-5 was a last ditch weapon to be given to the volksturm troops (old men and kids) to atleast equip them with a weapon it was very crude and it was only semi auto
There was at some point, I think Historically a Select fire version I think (I don’t have my books in front of me or I’d check).
However in game the VG 1-5 is Semi only. And IMO, it really should be a Rifleman unlock, vs Assaulter. It fits that role far better. And I’d love a 9 Man Infantry squad with that thing, just to see if I ever made someone post a VG OP Thread.
yea it should and it should be unlocked slightly earlier.
I think the fact that the Russians have 71 drum magazine bullet hoses balances it out
The russian ppd40 is not better in his campaign position wy use the ppd40 if the game at lv14 give you the ppsh41, i call this filler
better be preparing that child support @gastanofrizzi
on side note, people probably think VG1-5 is full-auto because it’s full-auto in BFV & COD
These are abominations
VG1-5 should be the standard infantry gun instead of FG42II. Steiner counter-offensive should consist of last-ditch weapons with scrape-the-barrel troopers, not super special elite paratroop from non-existed Luftwaffe.
I don’t know why so many are nagging about PPSh and PPD, compared to Moscow, the Soviet unlock drum mag quite late in this campaign. Once I got mg34, which is much earlier than PPD, Russian’s peepee just stop being a problem.
Yeah I’d love it to me a standard infantry weapon.
I can only imagine having my infantry squads with that.
Interestingly enough I dont recall myself ever complaining about the SMGs, and now with the flamethrower buff , they are even less of a problem.
But it was avaiable to other soldier types in alpha and fg42 was a gunner gun.
I don’t know what went wrong in their decisions.
I have to rely on you guys (Alpha) to let me know these things.
To me, that makes a lot more sense.
Oh yeah, it was avaiable for eng, radio squads and If I recall correctly troopers.
The MG gunner would unlock the mg13/mg34 (with a MG42 placeholder) and later fg42 only avaiable as gunner squad.
Would make more sence than having a vegetal1-5 as currenty is and fg42 for everyone…
Honestly I don’t remember if engies were even there for Berlin Alpha. As far as I remember they were added during CBT.
But overall yeah, those were better times for VG, FG and their classification.

Das war ein Befehl!
Der Angriff Steiners war ein Befehl!

XD
How come nobody has made an Enlisted, Berlin campaign themed version of that clip yet? It’s literally the most fitting adaptation!
Sick movie.
The himmler betray on the dinner part was also so well made.
Word by word.
It definitely should be, the same way as the M1 Carbine is.
And as for the full-auto version of the MP 507 (it’s real name), last time I read about it, I found that it might have existed (historians are not sure), but if it did, it definitely never left whatever testing facility it was tested in.
