Update 0.7.5.127

I’ve played on both sides, and I’d say it’s mostly just a general lack of motivation; most of my recent matches with Japan have been losses, but they’ve also been the most frenetic games I’ve played in a long time, I almost always finish at the top of the scoreboard. The BR 2–3 bracket is pretty active right now, and even at BR 5, the Japanese players really give it their all—full-on BANZAI style. Meanwhile, on the Soviet side, the ones really going all out tend to be players with Chinese or Russian names. You can definitely notice the difference in equipment quality, but it’s a real ALL VS ALL

I get it,earning social credit… it’s a heavy duty…

Yeah, claiming “better tanks” or “better airplanes” in one or two specific BRs kind of misses the point that potentially up to 90 soldiers, at every BR, could be running around with 1 extra shot to kill, which is a massive advantage. The better vehicles still need competent drivers or they can pretty easily be countered. An army of idiots with 1 extra shot to kill still need 1 extra shot to kill no matter what.

I think the overlooked point here is that 10% armor isn’t a 10% advantage. If it normally takes 2 shots to kill, and with armor it takes 3, then that’s a 50% advantage. On every soldier. With no downside. :person_shrugging:

a playerbase can shift over time so having static “crutches” for a dynamic problem is kinda a problem in of itself. Post merge the shifts are less noticable as pre merge but it still happens.

Also just because the averge player is bad does not mean all of them are. So if good players join forces you not only fight a stack which can be challenging but also have the game also beeing stacked against you.

So if tanks are supposed to be the german specialty they why the hell are the devs contiously nerfing that aspect of the faction to be “more in line with other factions” but are the only faction without large caliber HE in the TT.

And well german tanks only get scary in BR 4 and 5. Before that they are to fragile to survive in a good lobby not stuffed with monkeys and bots that dont know how to use the tools provided to them.

it does, and it did many times. in fact, it even shifts given the time of day you play. at certain hours, one side is prevalent, while at others, the opposite is true.

the shift happened many times, i can remember tunisia, the allies farm place, instantly switching to german farm place when the event paratrooper squads dropped…berlin, when they tweaked the capping times to compensate imbalance to instantly turn the other way around, to remain so for months and months untill the merge, etc etc. many cases, so many cases. seen them all.

the problem is that a DYNAMIC balancing method would require THOUGHT, PLANNING, and WORK, which is a completely alien idea, a total blasphemy if you like.

hell, they even removed the gold order shop in order to have a stock of ready-to-use items for event rewards and chest stuff, to reduce the workload of making new variants of weapons.

I’d be fine with sovs having those…

In exchange of the backpack slot.

I mean it’s heavy steel armour. Don’t tell me they can still run at normal speed wearing this all the while bringing heavy ammo bags…

But anyway. Devs and staff are well known to cozy up to sovs, since forever. It’s nothing new.

I just find it funny those hypocrites enough to say “it doesn’t matter” but at the same time buy those ugly pieces for their entire lineups

that ship sailed long ago, im afraid.

the japanese anti tank weapon weights 52 kilograms, according to the stat page. i doubt a single japanese soldier could carry it to the front, let alone fire it from the shoulder. not to mention the new one, with around 10 extra kilograms of steel and explosives, for the extra lolz, and even banzai charge all the way with the thing hanging in their backs…those japanese guys are some buff blokes, i tell you…meanwhile, german antitank soldiers pack 6 panzerfaust up their…backs, 7 kilograms each…50 ton tanks get stuck on wooden fences…weight behaves strangely in these battlefields. i just came to the conclusion that either i accept it as it is and roll with it, or just dont, and dont.
