iirc APC-s used 50m from center of cap point as limit for spawn(at least on some maps). that is why it was possible to park APC just outside cap point on some pacific maps.
my guess is that they now count distance from cap border and that is why there is difference. but i could be wrong cause i havent played lately and few games that i did play yesterday didnt include APC.
